First new giant waterlily species discovered in London in over a century | AFP

The world's largest giant waterlily - and the first to be discovered in over a century - is unveiled at London's Kew Gardens, whose herbarium has been home to misidentified plant species for 177 years. The species was uncovered by a team in the UK and partners Bolivia (where the plant is native) using a blend of modern science, including DNA analysis and molecular technology, and the centuries-old practice of botanical drawings. It is the world's third giant waterlily.

    1. I think the scientists at a world-class institution know more than you do... 👍 2. It has been discovered in England, because that's where it's been Classified as it's own species, so scientifically that is it's discovery, that's how Science works. 3. It literally have "Bolivia" in it's name?? What justice are you banging on about??... 🤷‍♂️🙄
