If your bike won't idle - 1/8 throttle, its a problem with the pilot jet/air bleed, if it won't go wide open, it's a problem with the main jet. (this is all stated quite simply, but it mostly holds true). Also, when you take your stuff apart, take a few extra minutes before you put it back together to clean it. You will thank me when you adopt this method of working on your bikes. Keep up the good work.

You should change the oil filter it’s like taking out bad oil and putting it back in there no since in changing the oil unless you change the filter

Scroll through Cameron nimela video and you will find how to fix the bog issue on its on a ttr 125

Have a bucket full with cleaner and let the filter soak and then squeeze the cleaner out and then put it in water and squeeze it a bit and the let the filter dry. Dip it in filteroil and squeeze the most of it out and let it dry. Thats just my way of doing it.

They don’t make replacement plastic for the klx/drz 125, for the front end a kx85/100 triple trees forks will for no issue and you can use the kx85 restyled fender and number plate, that will give you better suspension in the front and it’s a easy fun project

change the filter, adjust the vales , check/adjust the cam chain tensioner. and clean that carb properly. no sense in doing things half assed

Check the slide needle, im pretty sure it is the fuel control for full throttle, somebody may have lowered the needle thinking it would help and it leaned the bike out.

Adjusting the valves isn't about compression if they're loose. If they were tight yeah, its making sure you get all the lift (power) your supposed to get, otherwise your giving away lift taking up that slack (it also keeps parts from hammering on each other at RPM due to excessive lash). Maybe it would help, maybe your right and not so much, but just because many clatter doesn't mean they didn't need adjustment too lol.. :) Its a cool bike though and good to see you got it going.... I'm going to hazard a guess the bog is the carb still, its always the carb lol...

Got the change that oil filter and still check the valves if it get worse it could be to late and have to throw more money into it and if there in spec check the timing chain

You should always change your oil filter at least every other oil change and definitely on a bike that has been sitting for a long time. And the valves being out of adjustment may not make it have low compression. You really should change that air filter too.

Hey Migs, I'm pretty sure you have to adjust the float level in the carb.

Do you have hydraulic brakes because I have same bike and it has drum brakes

I had a ttr125 that would bog at full throttle. I had an aftermarket carb and the needle was too short for it. Def. Check the needle inside the throttle slide.

Hey migs just go ahead and change the spark plug and you will see a big difference

You need to adjust air mixture screw on bottom of carb start at 2 full turns out

I have the same bike migs and what that sound is it's the timing chain. Get a new tensioner and it will fix it

Float height on the carb might not be set right

You should take the baffle off of the exhaust bc it will be better airflow

if u don't fix the tick now u will have to replace ur cam.

If you don't put a timing chain in it it's so loose it will skip teeth in the cam and you'll bend your valves and put a hole in the piston. Might even bust your rod.

Right now it’s acting a lot like what my project bike did it needs it’s valve adjusted and the non responsive throttle for me was the carb needed to be rebuilt and it make a difference in the performance and throttle response

Check the air fuel mixture screw and plzzz give that thing a wash

There is no point of changing the oil if you leave the old filter

Take the baffler off to make louder.

And make sure the fuel is on.. and see if its getting enough fuel

Scrape the fenders with a sharp razor blade and then when there smooth and heat with the heat gun

listen bro if you get backfires in to the intake you need to adjust the valves.. 100% so its not a lean condition lol

U probably need to bent the flows in carbureator and that is why its bogging
