Very nice review. Love the sound of this plugin. The only problem I have, is sounding too much like Olafur in my own work. Not enough variance options to create my own style.I'll still get this one. I'll just have to except Olafur will be a part of it. :)

Can't believe they didnt make this a MIDI enabled plug to use with other synths. Shame

This is the second time I've been hovering my mouse cursor over the "Buy" button, only to back off, yet again. What seems to happen is I start watching a review video of Stratus, am immediately taken by its "thing", only to get more and more "meh" about that "thing" the more the video goes on. I can't help but get a pricey, one-trick-pony feeling about it.

Thanks for the input, really on the fence about this one but I think you’re right, not really looking to spend that much money on what seems like a one trick pony.

Three years have passed since...in simple comparison, Piano colors from Native instruments is kind of a close relative isn't it?

is there alternative library for this?

It's doing a nice little trick but I can't help but hearing a lot of overlapping (and extremely harsh sounding!) notes in the randomizing modus that would sound terribly messy in any composition.

It’s an easy fix: don’t feed it too many notes that will clash. It’s just a different approach, if you treat the automatic playback as part of the instrument you make space for it with the notes you actually play. Like dampening strings on a guitar with your hand so they don’t ring and clash, just have to learn how to control it

Only as an instrument. You Play simple figures, and Stratus does the rest.

Darn it... And this was a library that I thought I'd hold off on. Now you're convincing me otherwise. lol

I love spitfire but I’m just starting to think it’s all the same stuff at a premium price. I mean this is just another piano synth library. It’s like the countless string, wind and percussion library’s. I have all the Albion, Ambient Guitars, Pro strings and more. It’s nice but to me just sounds more of the same.

they really take one thing and just beat it until its dead. TUndra, 4 Olafur libraries, Neo... and probably more that I dont know... sometimes enough should be enough but then there are soundmakers like 8dio... so I guess at least spitfire delivers quality stuff regardless unlike many other companies :D
