First Look: ARC Master Cylinders + Dirt Bike Lever History

Спорт

If you are a pro rider, pro mechanic, team manager, or anyone else involved at the top levels of motocross and supercross racing, you definitely know Bob Barnett. But for those who aren't, Bob is the mechanical genius behind ARC Levers and is probably the most knowledgable human on earth when it comes to dirt bike levers and controls. He's been has created custom levers for nearly every top pro for decades and solving countless other problems that factory teams come across.
All-New Master Cylinder
Basically, after all the changes and solutions to OEM control problems, Bob decided to make his own master cylinders for both brakes and hydraulic clutches. Everything he's learned and implemented over the years is now consolidated into these factory level controls.
We get an in-depth look at the master cylinders as well as a whole history lesson on the design and evolution of ARC levers and the pros that have used them for decades.

Geez...what an incredible mind. This man is the kevin Cameron of levers. When he explains ergonomics, it's just fascinating yet easy to understand. Absolutely a national treasure of knowledge. I hope he has a son or daughter he is training. His knowledge should never be lost. Great video sir. Thank you sharing.

My first ARC levers were on my 04 YZ, never had to replace a lever since. The stock lever was around $70, broke it on my first crash on the bike. Since then ARC on all my bikes and some very heavy get offs, no broken levers.

At the time he was trying to figure out what to name the “flip chip” insert. The entire time i felt like i was talking with a genious. His mind is just always working

Why are all the levers so long if I try to one finger them they’d hit my other fingers, why don’t they have hydraulic spring assisted one finger clutches that mimic the shape mountain bikes have with thier levers, the clake one light clutch lever is the best clutch lever design out there too bad it’s super expensive
