Fun stuff, not a huge fan of the thick stock but do lend well to the art. I wish they brought back super rare holograms.

art looks great! Lots of inserts. I haven't recovered from several other recent releases so I might wait until the box prices drop in a year or so

You must of got the good case box to land the auto and gold medallion and cell animation. Just check upper deck and selling the blaster box for 35.00. Thanks for the opening and happy 4th to the family.

would love to start collecting but really do not understand why the cards are so thick... gives you 4-5 cards in a pack. Also see alot of bent ends... do they have holders for the cards?

They make wider thin sleeves and then hard top loaders that are meant for thick cards.

I can't believe the blasters for this are up on Upper Deck's site for $35...The same price as the Fleer Ultra Avengers blasters that are STILL available there. (And each of those came with a numbered card.) I thought they'd learned something from how well Platinum sold, but I guess not. They must have plenty of warehouse space.

Thick cards have a greater chance of edge damage. Plus the QC on cards sometimes isn’t great

Wasn't gonna do it, but man, I love Marvel cards and had to get some booster boxes. I'm hoping for some cool hits. I still think the 2023 Marvel Platinum base cards are best looking for the money and availability.

You know as a lower middle class kid in the 90's I only ever had enough money for cards because comics and figures were a bit more expensive and my weekly 2 bucks or so my old man would give me at the swatpmeet could always get me a pack of cards.Never sports be something like some tmnt or power ranger or even some mortal kombat trading cards remember those,but ya Marvel was by far my favorite and one or two packs was all I needed. Man how times have changed.

Mixed feelings on this product. But man hitting that weapon x wolverine autographed card was awesome. Been a wolverine fan since I could remember.

I’m not sure what it is about this particular set that isn’t appealing to me. Maybe it’s just because, for me, Metal being around the corner steals the hype, I’m a big fan of Metal or Retro style sets. Have you heard anything more from the grapevine regarding those whispers of another Fleer Retro set incoming? The idea of that really gets me pumped!

Man I have been out of the game for 20 years when the heck did they get this thick! I mean it’s growing on me. More heavy duty that’s nice. I’m used to damn mtg bs. Over it 😅

I'm kinda disappointed in this set. I was super pumped for this set too. I've watched three box break videos for this set now, and all three boxes have felt super underwhelming compared to the Avengers and Midknight Sons sets. It feels like they took away a lot of the cool subsets and inserts. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I think I'm gonna skip this set... I feel better about over spending on Platinum now.

I know, that's the plus side I guess... the downside though is that I'm genuinely disappointed I'm gonna pass on this. I had been waiting for months for this set to drop, and normally Fleer Ultra Marvel sets are consistently great so I'm shocked this one turned out as bland as I did. Wolverine is my favorite character, so I was looking forward to him getting his own set, and a well executed Wolverine set could be amazing...but this ain't it. Where are the cool inserts??? The Pop Cultures are just boring in my opinion, and the wooden "genetics" cards are kinda lame too... The EXs are cool and of course the Jambalayas will always be sweet, but Jambalayas are one per case so odds are you aren't pulling one of those... but how the hell do you make a Wolverine set, and have not a single NIGHTCRAWLER!!!

They have cheap and expensive versions. You can buy retail blasters from $19.99 to $35 each but the collector hobby boxes with guaranteed hits are much more expensive

Wolverine is the 2nd most popular Marvel character. He absolutely deserves his own set, BUT I do agree that this set is kinda lackluster.

I’m confused by your comment. Female Wolverine isn’t new. X23 first app is from 2004 and she was a main character in the movie Logan which is considered possibly the best Fox produced X-men / Wolverine. Has nothing to do with dei. It’s a well written character and story.

Just bought a box going to save and have my 7 year old enjoy it later in life 🤷‍♂️
