I wanted to add that the wheelbase plays a huge role in backing. The closer the drive wheels are to the steer tires, the quicker you can react to the back. Also, the closer the trailer wheels are to the drives, the quicker it backs. 53' trailers are slow. Once you have an opportunity to back a pup, you'll understand. Also, the shorter the trailer, the more you have to back it. If the person next to you is crooked, it screws up a back worse for a guy with a shorter trailer. The problem with shorter wheel bases is the fact they're bouncier. The worst is the single axle day cab bobtail. That's what I drive. Also I have leaf springs. Sleepers are heavier and longer, but they're much smoother to drive.

Personally I love driving pup trailers lol. Backing them is very tricky if you're not careful though. My first time I almost jackknifed it so hard. Learned real quick and took to it like a fish to water. The bounce can suck, but for city driving? Pup trailers all day long.

Soo beautiful 😍
Hell yea! Congrats welcome to the team with KLLM. I’m on the Midwest regional. I’ve been with them for a bit now and by far one the best companies I’ve drove for. Drive safe out there! Hopefully we can meet out there on the road!

Refer is a different kind of beast,I did it for nearly a year, produce loads are a whole different animal, if you ever have to load produce you'll know what I'm talking about.
i think KLLM will be a great move for you and they are a solid company to drive for. there are many freight carriers out there but in all honesty i think only about 5 would i consider top of the line. yea i know this is maybe up for debate but when you do the research you find out a whole different story. give it your best Nia and keep the big wheels rolling movin on.

Completely shut everything down, go do what you need to do and crank it back up when you're ready to leave❤
That was the first company I drove for 10 years ago when I came out of trucking school
I really love your video and the great experience 🎉
Just saw your video. I live in McDonough where you picked up and I know exactly where this is. My friend drives a yard spotter for them. Be careful and safe from James and Hot Shot Shorty @ Adventures in Trucking on YT!
Awesome ❤❤❤
Good job 👌👌👌
Hi i`m from Brazil, you drive very well.
I LOVE YOUR DOG WHAT KIND IS IT ?? ....such a well mannered dog😃
I had the same issue with the door tiebacks as well

I was driving on I-90 in WA at about midnight a couple months back. It was raining pretty hard and out of no where all of the interior lights came on. I thought it was the rapture happening. 2015 T680 that had water get in somewhere and short the interior lighting. Pretty sure the East bound traffic thought I was scared of the dark, lol

@@Roadrunnania they did me dirty & At first you gone get miles & then you barely get them. I was supposed to be midwest regional but they lied & said I have to go OTR instead. The CDL school was phenomenal but working for the actual company is hell. I hear FFE is better.

Ken's been there plenty of times. That gravel lot can be challenging
You be safe out there
I am getting ready to work for KLLM. Are you liking the company thus far? How is it?
You look fine 😍 doing a great job.
When I take 2 days off I be outta wack...I feel like Idk what I'm doing... don't eat that 🍕
Good morning ❤ love ya
Where did you get your tablet mount?
How do you like KLLM are you based out of the Cartersville yard in GA or where you based cause I used to work for Quest out there who KLLM now own and took over their yard just curious… keep the vlogs coming like how they are random and not set to one specific thing you show people what it’s really like out here 👍🏽
That’s my favorite hat ❤
#RoadRunna Nia your doing great driver. It's been almost 3 and a half years since i drove 😢. I'm ready to get back on the road for sure. I got off the road for medical reasons but I'm trying to find a company to look into but unsure now days. I drove from October 2012 to October 2020. I may be on the road again soon. Anyways stay safe driver. God Bless from Oklahoma.

I driver the candy lane for KLLM for 6 months it was a cool experience. I like how they keep all the facilities and equipment updated. Good luck 👍🏼
I switched to KLLM a few months ago. It took me a couple of weeks to get comfortable using their system, but now I’m definitely glad I made the change. I love that I earn PTO as OTR. Getting paid to go home would be hard to give up.
I love those backing skills
Only thing I would say with the backing and getting back into it is resist the urge to over steer a lot. Let the trailer respond to your inputs before you make even more inputs.
