FIRST IMPRESSIONS of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia!! 🇲🇾❤️ | 197 Countries, 3 Kids
Hey, guys! Today, we're taking you to the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Let's dive into our latest trip.
Traveling non-stop can be a real adventure, and sometimes airports are the less glamorous part of it all. Our flight to KL was smooth and before leaving the airport we grabbed a bite to eat but since there were no seats, we had no choice but to dine on the floor. Oh, well!
We breezed through border control. And here's a fun fact: it's our second time in Malaysia. Our last visit was in 2015.
In KL, we decided on a Home Exchange. It's a great platform that lets us travel the world without breaking the bank. Our place was spacious, clean, and had a jaw-dropping view. If you want to check out Home Exchange, visit 👉 www.growingupwithoutborders.c...
Our host suggested trying the local restaurants inside the hospital, and we couldn't resist the curiosity.
We scouted for groceries at local stores and after some time, we eventually succeeded.
The next day, we hit up the Sunway shopping mall, a popular spot for locals to shop and hang out. But before we dive into that adventure, we've got some exciting news - our BRAND NEW MERCH just dropped and is now available at 👉 www.growingupwithoutborders.c...
Back in the Sunway shopping mall, we were surprised to find an ice skating rink. Definitely not the first thing you'd expect in a hot place like Malaysia, right?
Despite the mall's many attractions, we couldn't get Chili's out of our minds; we were craving some American-style food.
After a satisfying meal, our exploration continued, and Chantal even got a futuristic head massage!
Our Home Exchange was great, but there was a quirky issue - the fridge kept short-circuiting when we used other appliances. So, we had to get creative with our food.
Luckily, KL had some mouthwatering pastries to offer. French flakey dough is another thing we really miss, so this hit a sweet spot. And maybe it did its magic and somehow fixed our fridge, too. Who knows 😀
If you enjoy our adventures, be sure to follow us for more exciting travel stories. Stay tuned for our next journey and hit that bell button so you never miss our videos!

I spent three weeks in Malaysia in July. Mostly in KL but I also spent a couple days in Langkawi. So much to see…so much to explore…so much to eat. My favourite was Char Kway Teow. Enjoy your trip…I look forward to more videos. I can’t wait to go back!

Hi, welcome back to Malaysia girls. Hope you enjoy your stay here. Don't forget to extend your visit Sabah and Sarawak
Welcome to Malaysia again, for food, make sure you try all 3 Malaysian culture types : (in Malaysia, make sure to completely stir mix your drinks as Sugar or milk are usually at the bottom of the cup or mug,) - Malaysian Malay food to try: Nasi Lemak, Satay (skewed chicken, beef or Lamb), cendol (ice dessert), Nasi Kandar, Nasi Kerabu, Rendang chicken (spicy), Curry chicken, Mee Goreng, ikan Bakar, Ramly Burger (street food after 7pm) - Malaysian Indian food to try: Roti Canai, Capati, Tor Say, Indian version of curry chicken, beef and lamb, Teh tarik (drink) - Malaysian Chinese food to try: Char Kuey Teow (Fried noodles, very popular), Hokkien mee, Prawn noodles, Popiah,...........Pork noodles, White Coffee, Apam Balik,.........too many. Go to ICC Pudu complex around 8am, you'll be hard pressed to choose. Jalan Alor (street name) is known for food (after 7pm) and it's more for tourists but many locals will eat there every day. * your tolerance of spiciness is important in Malaysia, if your tolerance is low, make sure to order with specific remarks - very little chillies as less chillies are still spicy to many. Places to visit if you are staying for a month or two, outside of Kuala Lumpur at higher altitude and jacket required, places like Genting Highlands, Cameron Highlands and Langkawi's Sky Bridge, these 3 are perfect for western foreigners as the coldness is a getaway from the heat of KL. Within Kuala Lumpur, if you like birds, Malaysia has the biggest "free flight" aviary in the world called KL Bird Park (check their entrance ticket online), Shopping malls like Sunway Pyramid Mall (30 mins away from KL by car), Pavilion (heart of KL), KLCC Twin towers (night time fountain show). Hope I didn't bore you with my lengthy suggestions. *IMPORTANT NOTE : Please buy a portable rain coat like Poncho, rain jacket (reusable portable type) or a small foldable umbrella as the last quarter of the year usually rains quite a bit.
Wow! That was a surprise appearance from Tyler. Nice to see!! 😊

Not sure if you would give it a thought. When I was in Canada , the greatest experience I had was spending time, especially in the summer and fall in the woods or by the lakes. In Malaysia, there is a lot more to explore than just the concrete blocks around the city. Take a trip to the national park, stay there for a couple of days and feel the pristine atmosphere you'll never find elsewhere, besides Amazon. Truth is, Malaysians find it it too rustic, but not for me. By the way I'm a Malaysian, love the nature.
@GrowingUpWithoutBorders

Yeah Canada definitely offer this with lakes and nature. That’s how I grew up. Sometimes we’d swim in 4 different lakes in 1 day. 😂😂You’re right that Malaysia has so much to offer with nature too. This trip we didn’t venture out as much.
