FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF CROATIA 🇭🇷 (what to eat, see, & do in Dubrovnik, Split, and Brac)
We started our adventure in Split, a charming Mediterranean town in Croatia. The first day we hiked Marjan hill which is lush with trees, scenic viewpoints, and paths where we enjoyed several lookouts. The lookout points were breathtaking but make sure you head all the way up to Telegrin Peak for the best views of the town, the islands, and mountains. We also woke up early to explore the old town without the crowds.The old town of Split is a maze of streets and cobblestoned lanes that surround Diocletian’s Palace. It truly was worth getting up early to have it all to ourselves!
The next day we took a ferry from Split to the island of Brac. We stayed in the small harbor town of Bol. Bol is a beautiful town made up of small stone houses and winding streets. Brac is famous for its stone which you can see all over the island. This same stone was used in the construction of Diocletian's Palace and the White House. We visited the stunning beach, Zlatni Rat first thing. We enjoyed the beach to ourselves and watched the sunset. While on the island of Brac we couldn't miss the challenging hike up to the Vidova Gora. Vidova Gora is the highest point in the Adriatic islands and the views were worth the climb! It was 7 miles round trip and took us about 4 hours. Alternatively, if you want to skip the challenging hike up, you can drive to the top or get a taxi and hike back down into town.
After a few great days on Brac we ferried back to Split and took the local bus to the city of Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is a city in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea. It is usually regarded as the most picturesque city on the Dalmatian coast and is referred to as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Dubrovnik is known for its distinctive Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. The narrow streets are filled with restaurants and small shops. It gets very very crowded during the day with hordes of people coming off of cruise ships so make sure you start early. It is definitely a do not miss on any Croatian holiday!
After leaving Dubrovnik we rented a car and officially started our "European road trip"! We slowly made our way to Mostar, Bosnia stopping along the way to try some fresh oysters in Moli Ston. Moli Ston is regarded as having some of the best oysters in the world and we couldn't pass up an opportunity to try them!

An amazing region of the world. My favourite. Make sure to go North to places like Sibenik and the Krka Falls, Zadar and the Plitvice Lakes. And come back in summer and do the islands of Hvar, Brac, Korcula and Vis or you have missed one of the nicest parts of the world

@@SammyandTommy Pity you're there during covid, the place has the best vibe during normal tourist season and in summer. Places north like Rovinj are awesome too but be sure to drop into Primosten and Sibenik near Krka, absolute gems .

Haha it was so quiet because we were up at sunrise that morning to explore without the crowds and then we lost our “mid-day” footage. It did look so empty.

Just got back from Croatia last week. I have been there many times. Stayed in Istra the full two weeks. Great place with many small hilltop towns that are amazing to walk around. Stay in one place and drive to the towns. They are all within short driving distance. Better than the more known touristy cities which are overcrowded at times and expensive. Krka is great but Plitvice is much bigger.

Beautiful trip and city ! 3.15 , there was a movie scene ,but I don't remember the movie name......😥.... Yeah, renting a car , make the European trip much better! You decide the stops ,the hours , the trips. Very good idea !

This is a great video. But the personal Touch is Missing. I found the bloopers to be quite funny interesting and wish the videos are shot with more of both of you engaging in conversations like in the bloopers.

Southeastern
EAST, WEST, SOUTH, NORTH ... Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro are in Southern Europe. Please know the difference between eastern shore of Adriatic sea, and eastern part of European continent. Because you're in the South. Sincerely --- a salty fan :D

@@SammyandTommy Hahahah no bad feelings guys :) We just get salty about it because we don't like being confused with Eastern Europe, though we do have a lot of in common with them, especially the border with Serbia that's in it. Trough our history, we got a lot of bad stuff that came from that direction, we feel like we are nothing a like.

cruise ships are destroying Dubrovnik hordes of people who just get off the ship for couple of hours and go on spending spree thats why everything is lot more expensive in center of town. because its designed to take as much money as possible from people who get of the cruise ships and never come back to croatia
