Hi Christiana, great to see you travelling again🤗 Allow me to share one important example of the tie between Brazil and Malaysia : In 1877 nine seedlings of rubber tree (scientific name Heavea brasiliensis) originally from Brazil were introduced to Malaya (now Peninsular Malaysia) by the British colonists. Long story short, by 1930s Malaya produced half of the world’s rubber. (Incidentally, most Indians who are Malaysian citizens today are descendants of workers brought from south India to work in rubber plantations). While today Malaysia is no longer the world's top producer of natural rubber, it still leads the world in rubber-based industries including as world's largest maker of natural rubber gloves.

Great to know that you made a solo trip to Brazil. Suppose you have no problem with communication since they speak Portuguese too. I think the Asian district is mainly consist of Japanese since many ethnic Japanese migrated to Brazil and other parts of Latin America many years ago. The Kno fruit looks interesting. Any travel plans for you and Joao to Southeast Asia or other parts of the world?

That's right mostly Japanese as they came to work on the coffee fields. The kino fruit looked weird but was good 😊 traveling very very soon stay tuned 💛

I know borders are open bbut cases in Malaysia are quite high and to fly about 12 hours from sweden is not so fun because of present situation

Kino is also known as kiwani, have that with vanilla ice cream...yum, now I am in Tenerife for a couple of months, tried that here in Tenerife. Hope you guys are doing well. Miss Malaysia though. Might try to to go back to Malaysia for holiday end of this year (depends on the Covid situation). If not next year, haven't been to Malaysia for more than 3 years.

That stall was closed because of the video. There are several fruit stalls in the market
