Some physics calculations: A Nami Burn-E with a rider and gear might have a weight around 300 pounds total. Traveling at 40 miles an hour, the mass in motion is conveying a little over 21 kilojoules of kinetic energy. A fully equipped football player running at you full sprint would be about 5,000 joules. So, in essence, this thing is like 4-5 NFL sized running tackles barreling down the street at 40 miles an hour. Please stay safe out there! Loved the ride footage. Looks like an intense place to get around. Other comparisons: A bike at 250 pounds traveling at 10mph is carrying about 1.1 KJ An average car weight of 4,100 pounds at 25mph is carrying about 116 KJ. An average American male walking at an average speed is carrying about 145 joules.

Great review & video. I just love to see this scooter on the road! For someone who was already researching this scooter before purchasing you definitely made some good points on getting the 2 over the 2-max. I live in SF so similar situation where a more practical scooter is better but having that 60mph capability is always nice too haha.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback! I tried to keep it simple while giving the perspective of a person who actually uses these for city commuting. There’s plenty of videos out there that go hard on stats and always go for “power power power”, so I wanted to approach it with a different lens. I haven’t been to SF yet, but it’s pretty tight from what I’ve seen. I can totally see why you’d need a more practical scooter. However, I can also see why having a beast that can tackle those massive hills and keep up with the crazy PEVs at the group rides would be a must!

How many’s miles can you get an aggressive riding mode for the burn e2 and your original burn e? Really like your Nami videos and I live in Long Island city and thinking of getting one.

Thank you! I appreciate the positive feedback. They’re great scooters and I think you’ll really enjoy it. I’m about 200+ lbs with gear and work bag with me and my round trip commute is anywhere between 12-24 miles depending on the day. I charge my gen1 Burn E about once a week if the commutes are on the shorter end. That’s about 50-60 miles between charges on the most aggressive riding mode and everything maxed out. Just keep in mind, I’m not a “hooligan style” rider and I’m not always blasting through the city at max speed. If you plan to ride safely and open up the throttle when there’s space, you can expect to have similar range. As for the Burn E2, I can only assume you’ll get around the same because the motor and controller aren’t pulling as much from the smaller battery. I had the burn e2 for a few days and I only charged it before I returned it to my friend. If you have a chance, check out FluidFreeRide in Brooklyn and try the E2 and E2 max. The Black Friday sale is awesome! I hope this helps! 👊🏼

Is klima max same as Burn E 2 ?(not max) And which throttle you use on your burn e?

Back to back illness knocked me out for a while and I'm finally just getting back to work and finally catching up here on KZread! The Klima Max and the E2 are very different scooters. The Klima Max is the 30ah version of Nami's midsize 10inch (tire) 42mph scooter. On the other hand, the E2 is lower performance (45mph) version of Nami's heavyweight scooter the E2 Max (60mph) but maintains all the comforts of the larger form factor, the 11 inch tires, and the softer suspension. The throttle I used on my Burn E when I had it and my Klima Max now is the "Polish Throttle". I bought it locally from a shop here in NYC. However, most people order them online. You can find the link to the seller by going into the Official Nami FB Group and searching "Polish Throttle". I hope this helps!

We have a Burn-e2 about to buy the max as my wife has decided just one ain't enough. I also decided that the Max is not going to be as scary at 60mph as I first thought.

In this video I have the mic on my collar under my jacket. In the newer videos I moved it to the chin portion of my helmet. I also have a wind cover on the mic to help reduce wind noise
