You did better than me at getting the cups out. I tried to do it without the proper tool and broke the flanges (and the cups are still stuck on!). Lesson learned…

I think it is called an “ integrated “ headset I had a Giant with a headset like this

This is semi integrated. Integrated has no removable cups so the bearings sit in the frame.

Copper slip anti seize for when you have 2 metals in contact that don’t move, this creates a barrier to stop corrosion.

It's copper slip, it stops the bearings getting stuck in there Shame he didn't film how he got the bearings out in the first place

It does have ball bearings. I have a cane creek ahead set that has the same type of bearing. It's basically a cup and cone with a plastic lock ring acting as a dust seal.

There are ball bearings in a cage retainer in these. These are cheap headsets where the cups, bearings and covers are one unit, they can be taken apart and greased but not as good as a sealed cartridge bearing.

Just gotta watch it on mute
