It reminds me of when Animal Kingdom opened. The trees and vegetation were just planted and not full yet. Kind of sparse with not much shade. It will be even more beautiful as the years go by. I wonder if it will always be one ship at a time.

Awesome video! I'm surprised that the pier is basically a grey, concrete walkway for 1/2 mile without any sort of theming, color or shade, especially since this is the first thing you see when you get off the ship. They made Lookout Cay itself look great and well-themed, so it seems jarring in comparison Btw, kudos to whoever made the graphic/map of the private islands at 0:37, it looks awesome

I don't mind the walk, but for families with little ones and older people, they should have a tram on that pier. That is crazy!!

Turks and Caicos has those dunes as well. I think it has to do with being on the Atlantic maybe? Not sure it isn't like that in the Southern Caribbean where I have been.

I think the island will be really nice in a couple of years when all of the planted things grow in. Now, it looks barren and almost like a desert. The walk will be too much with no cover but even that I could deal with but the flies…nope. That was more than the usual it seemed. No way would I be eating anything there.

Dinner time question: I know you all like other ships better than the Disney Wish but you seem to have so much more fun and are so much happier when you vlog a Disney Cruise. If you had to rank your top 3 cruise experiences purely from a FUN perspective, what would those be?

You walked the pier and still looks like you were walking to go the tram. How long is the walk and time from leaving ship to get on tram. Saw another video where it took them 25 minutes just to get on a tram from trip. Also every video I have seen have mentioned FLIES. lol great video thanks

I thought the pier would look more exciting like Perfect Day at Coco Cay. Overall there doesn’t seem like much to do unlike perfect day, but perhaps the Disney goal was for education and relaxation. Very different distinctions between the two brands.

Just means you have to go back again when it's done! We went to CocoCay before it became Perfect Day! Haven't gone back yet but we will in February, kinda sad Royal just came in and took over everything and got rid of that cultural aspect. Might have to hop on Disney to do this when it's done!

Love Disney and the Island is beautiful but this looks very Mid. I’m used to what Royal Caribbean offers at Co Co Cay but hopefully with time they can add some more spark to this place.

Odd that there’s no effort to provide any shade on the walkway to the ship/island. I feel like Disney could do a better job creating shade from the sun across their properties-it gets so hot especially with the sun reflecting off the hard surfaces.

Nope! Not eating any of that food,Looks delicious but with the flies all on it makes it nasty.

I googled why a cay isn’t just called an island, and I don’t think I realized that a cay is an island completely formed on top of a coral reef with sand made mostly of plant and animal bones 😳

Lookout seems like a very nice beach experience but, not a particularly Disney beach experience. For how big it is, I expect that multiple ships will dock at the same time.

Enjoyed the video! FYI-Walking straight into the surf with your flippers on is a recipe for disaster. lol. I found that walking backwards into the surf or even better putting the flippers on once you are past the surf break works best. Love the video!
