That was where I first got attacked by them too, however I didn't know how to fight those creatures. I was still trying to somehow get a picture to see what this actually is, only to realize the camera did not register them. then the sky turned red and they got to me... I avoided going near this area for the next weeks. 🙈😅

I feel something that goes unspoken of about these things is they all seem to be conjoined in some way, from the pool of Gloom. It seems like they're a mass of individual entities all bound together by that pool of Gloom. They wall want you, but if one is immobilized, it holds the collective back until the affected recovers, and I think that makes them all the more frightening, like spirits bound together by dark magic, reaching for you...

I first encountered the gloom hands immediately after touching down to the ground for the first time. it was nighttime and I was running for a star fragment instead of immediately going to lookout landing when it appeared right behind me. in my distraction and panic I ran out of stamina and couldn't escape.

My first encounter was with the ones west of Hyrule Castle Town. I tried to run away at first, but when they gained on me, I tried using melee attacks and died to the gloom.

For my first meet with those, I wasn’t run with fear, it was it who decided to leave, instead of Anakin, it gave up because I got the high ground

My first encounter is when I was trying to climb up to that shrine floating near the wetlands. There I was, doing my own exploration thing, when half way up the sky turns red and these hands starts looking for me. So I started climbing higher so that they can't grab me.

You know those Zonai voices in shrines etc. speaking to you backwards (probably because they were preserved by a time power like recall)? Yeah, here, only in the beginning, you can hear them say: run, run. RuN, rUn.

Man, you wasted no time getting down to business. That bow was straight out and drawn.

I hated encountering these things when I first started exploring now ....... I farm them for the bow. Kept sword and spear at my house cause I think they look cool. Shame there FREAKING USELESS

I fuse them onto the end of other weapons to get a +40 or so damage pool, they're pretty good on Gerudo weapons (+80)

Yeah, the other guy beat me at it, use them as fuse material, especially the sword and barring the silver lyonel materials they are among the best fuse materials and as fuse the gloom effect is nullified.

congratulations! for all your admirable effort you got a near useless sword, and other wise half decent bow that is even more mediocre because of your low health pool!

using the sword as a fuse attachment does not add gloom hearts on attack so its not entirely useless to have a 41 fuse attack item

I find this easier to just use maxed upgraded armor, with the master sword and Hylian shield, and bomb flowers fused with arrows. To get bomb flowers, it’s not that hard at all. Just go into caves and find them in there, or in the depths. Easy as that.

I can defeat lynels and gleaoks anytime i want no sweat but this is Something i fear mega W for staying brsve and defeating it (correct me on gleeok one if i spelt it wrong and no hate btw)

Between the convenient cuts when you open your inventory, the geoglyph paraglider, the fact that you managed to record this consistently for 4 minutes, and your immediate understanding of how to fight them, I don't think this is real. Individually I could pass these off as conincidences, however: many coincidences make a pattern.

I did that too, but in my first they werenot running so I thought they were not moving from their place, but after defeated them, the problem is Phantom Ganon which I lose to, but in the reload, the hand this time they were chasing me, and that was an even worse case tbh

I did. It was a bit after the wind temple so I had tulin, and it was the hebra labyrinth. I had a few stamina meals and I wound up climbing up and tulin-boosting away to bullet time several times. It was close, but bomb-arrow spamming eventually got it done, and phantom ganon was a bit more manageable. It was a fun experience.
