Thanks for watching! This has been our most popular piece of gear that has been asked about. Our specific one has been discontinued, but here is a similar one : www.amazon.com/Yellow-Station-Outdoor-American-Plastics/dp/B097Q8Z9XV/ref=mp_s_a_1_19?crid=22F4P50YSGW0J&keywords=foldable+work+bench&pscroll=1&qid=1654970615&sprefix=foldable+work%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-19&wIndexMainSlot=29

When your travel time, bump in/out & sound check is 3-4 times longer than the show, you sometimes question if it was worth it - but the church folks appreciated your efforts and it made their service possible. It's also nice to have a little help at the end to get out quicker.

Hey, first time subscriber and let me first compliment you both on the awesome quality of your gear and service!! I'm a local DJ in IL looking to enter the arena of live sound production, and your videos have been a Godsend of understanding how to structure and work as a live sound gig worker! Kudos to you and God bless!!!

Thanks for your comment..we will take that into consideration on future videos and talk about some of the typical settings that work well. In this video, we do talk about refining presets which typically gets me 90% of the way there: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qHhktbWHaZvUdLg.html

Yes, church mixing builds a lot of character...it can be easier to throw faders up than it is to mix with the discipline that church mixing takes.

3:43 it's sad to hear that live music is somewhat alive and well. I love live music. I love music period! Bring back the old-school bands. I'm not sure if you know this but live music is popular in the Latino community.

Wow...good catch! We were discussing the pandemic and how it's impacted live music. Things were going pretty well for him considering. He is so versatile and in demand, he was able to pivot and stay busy, whereas a lot "bands" were sitting at home at the time.

It is an unsung piece of gear that we use at every gig. It's a portable workbench that we picked up years ago (more than 10) at Home Depot. I like how quick and easy it is to set up and takes almost no space.

@@thesoundcouple Thank you! I am getting a Shure ULXD4Q in good condition for almost half the price. However, this receiver is a K51 Band with a 600-607Mhz frequency range. I believe in the UHF band. And I think that the transmitters (e.g., microphones) should also support that band and frequency, right? On Shure's website, I can't find anything in that band and range. Do you know of any workaround in this case? Do you think it's worth getting that receiver? Thanks.

@@thesoundcouple Awsome info. Thanks. It seems like the K15 600-670Mhz band is dedicated to Europe/England. So, getting a non-US-supported receiver is not a good idea because you would end up buying compatible transmitters from Europe for it to work. BTW, I am located in TX, USA. Thanks again. PS: I would certainly like to see you guys doing some amazing DMX Lightning video one day!

I think this question at the core is a passive way to transfer the risk onto us. I don't think it's done in a malicious way, but everyone is trying to cover for themselves...and as the experts, we are supposed to know. I frequently say that no two circuits are created equal and will never accept responsibility for less than minimum requirements...but generally, don't accept any responsibility for power issues. That said, we do everything we can to ensure power is clean and safe and inform the client if there is an issue.....stay tuned as we just had a gig where we found a very serious power issue that they were able to correct!
