So, DSLR for a tour = bad idea. I figured I'd try it at least once and now I know not to do it again haha. Also the audio is going to be a bit on the worse side for the next few videos since my newer micrhophone broke (just like my first one did) and I'm waiting for an actual good one to come in the mail :D

Hello. For me this is one of the most beautiful muscle cars ever built. The dash clocks are awesome designed. Thanks for shearing.
BTW you're one of the few videos showing the Dodge Charger driving on the road! Back in 67 my dad and 2 older brothers drove to Mazatlan from LoS Angeles and back 3000 miles in one like this but blue. I slept in the back and it drove great. It was a crazy good time for me a 13 year old and what a adventure it was and stops in San Diego, Guaymas and Hermosillo.
this is the most beautiful generation of charger i've seen.

@@Rick-tw9ge They are the Icon in the Charger design with the 69 as the zenith. I wish they had incorporated more of the 1st Gen Charger interior in the 2G Charger.
My father had a new one in 1966. Loved that car with a 383 4 bbl. He was an engineer for Chrysler, and all the engineers had the same comment: Don’t get a Hemi. To hard to keep running. They all picked the 383.
@davehibbs9111
4 жыл бұрын
I had 2 of them! One was a 383 4bbl 325 hp the other 67' was the famous 426 hemi 425hp 4spd and power nothing! Basic plane Jane! Had to be a rocket scientist to work on the hemi! It was a pain in the ass! And the 383 was an automatic and I put about 120,000 miles on it! The hemi about 10,000 miles! I bought the hemi in 67' brand new! I bought the other 67' 383 in early 69' I thought about the same thing you did about the hemi car until last year when I turned 67' and retired and sold them both! I had all paper work for both cars! I sold the 383 car for $27,000 dollars however I got $225,000 dollars for the more rare hemi car! I wished I would have bought 2 hemi powered cars instead 😂 wish I was 17 again so I could do it all over again, only 2 things I would have changed was getting red instead of green and second was running from the law, because the law won 😉
Beautiful car. Yes, you should have shown the excellent fold down rear seats.
The good old days.
classic and BADASS! Old muscle cars are simply cooler than any car of today stuffed with unnecessary gadgets we never asked for
What about the best feature on the interior, the fold down cargo area.

We used the back to sneak into drive in theaters.
Nice video. I had a 66 model. Not sure why people call this a muscle car. Yes, you could order it with a boat anchor street hemi... which hardly anybody did. These cars were also super heavy, closing in at 4000 lbs with the larger engines. I'd say that a more accurate categorization would be a sporty luxury car. Kind of like a 300 or a Riviera. Very pretty body lines and the interior is an epic Dodge design which reminds me of the styling of Ford's early T-Birds.
Love the car but you missed one of the most amazing parts. The back seats and console fold down to a nice flat area. They should have built them this way for many years.
Not fond of the overall body style but it has some really cool features like the full side to side tail lights with CHARGER spelled out in the lenses. Sounds awesome, even if it's only a 383. The interior of this car is a masterpiece of industrial design, absolutely gorgeous! The gauges are a work of art. You should have taken some video of the electroluminescent dash "lights", no bulbs, just electrified paint! Beautiful!

I like the styling on these cars. They were on par with the best of what was out there in 67.
that first switch isnt to flip head lights... they flip when you pull the head light switch... that first switch is rear defrost
@garychiuminatto917
9 ай бұрын
On the 66 that 1st switch on the left is the headlights hold open switch. If you are making multiple stops at night and don’t want the headlights to keep opening and closing you flip that switch so when you turn the lights off they stay out until you want them to close. I own an all original 66 including the owners manual and no where in it does it mention a rear window defroster. I’m not positive but pretty sure a rear window defroster was not standard or optional. I also have a 1967 brochure covering all the Dodge line with all the standard equipment and all the optional equipment and it doesn’t mention any rear window defroster.
Nice car. I have an all original 66 383 727 with a 850 cfm edelbrock and Flowmaster pipes and I'm pretty sure she's closer to 4 than 300 hp.
Awesome review :D
how much can a Charger cost in this condition ?
I had one just like this one but mine had red interior back in 1980
it was hard to find any parts for my dad's when he imported it from America
Bought one right out of high school in 1979 for $ 1,700.loved that car. Too young and dumb to her realize the cool car I had.I wrecked it one winter night doing donuts in the snow. What a idiot I was in 79 :(
It's a beauty
Mine was yellow with a black vinyl top and 383. My first car.

Pop (my dad) had one. It was dark green with black interior. My Uncle Ed also had one, which was dark green with white interior. Pop was a wood model maker for Chrysler back then, at the Highland Park headquarters. Good times.

Easy way to tell the two years apart is the 1967 has the turn signals on the front fender. The 1966 doesn't have them.

The 66 had a full length console and a horn button in the center of the steering wheel not a horn ring. I know I have a 66 purchased in 1978 with 39000 original miles on it from the original owner.
Iam a PROUD owner of a 66 charger mine has a 361 engine,with the original owners manual and certification card,that came with the car,she is all original

Give me a break! Chryslers 727 Torqueflite is an outstanding transmission. The best ever made. Drag racers would use these because they could handle 1000hp like it was nothing. Rolls Royce used the torqueflite in their cars because there was no finer unit available. Remember,most folks don't want to row a car to work each day,even back then. And most people are RACING these things! I love the torqueflite and all my cars have it. Even in the 57-61 models most had automatics.

The 727 came from the factory on the 383, 440 and Hemi set to shift at full throttle acceleration at 5500 rpm. I’ll vouch for that. My 66 shifts at 5500 if you hold it on the floor.
