Half of this group are non-Korean. Yuqi (short black hair) is Chinese, Minnie (red hair) is Thai, and Shuhua (hand on fire) is Taiwanese. There's lots of cool friendships sprouting from this group. Minnie is friends with Lisa, Shuhua is friends with Tzuyu, and Miyeon is friends with Sana. They hang out when they can.

@@isaonce Yep, Sana has a lot of friends in other groups. Miyeon was asked during a VLive which Twice member was her favorite and she said Sana. Later Sana found her when both groups were filming for Music Bank and they became friends. They posted some absolutely adorable pictures on Instagram (posted on G-Idle's Instagram on November 13th).

Fun fact about (G)I-DLE: The group's leader, Soyeon (the rapper) generally writes and produces all their title tracks. Talk about a multi-talented queen! 😁😁 Also, don't worry or feel compelled to need to react to all the suggested/recommended groups as fast as possible. I don't know about others, but I feel it is far FAR more fun and satisfying watching someone getting to know and appreciating a new group/act, than necessarily expecting them to know about every K-pop idol and group out there (which would be near impossible to do anyway). 😁😁

If you liked the vocals of Minnie (red hair), she did a solo cover of “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles that is disgustingly good.

If you love vocals check Minnie, Miyeon and Yuqi’s cover of “Kiss it Better” as well as Minnie and Yuqi’s cover of “Scared to be Lonely”. You will be blown away.

The best thing about (G)I-DLE is that each singer has a vastly different voice. A lot of the time, girl groups try to stay within the same "flavor" so-to-say, but (G)I-DLE likes playing off the differences to make something unique (which goes with their concept as group, pretty much). Soyeon has a high voice, Minnie has a dreamy voice, Yuqi has a deep voice, Miyeon has a powerful voice, and Soojin and Shuhua have a soft voices. Not only are they drastically different, but they change up the placement for each song, which gives it a different sound from any of their other tracks. No two songs are similar. It's probably why people are initially drawn to them in this era of girl-crush power vocals because they stand out. .... No... I'm not a fangirl.... .... Maybe a little.

Watching someone "uninitiated" reacting positively to Soyeon's vocals is kind of funny considering she is a sub-vocalist, she is actually the group's main rapper. And asking if Minnie is the group's visual is also kinda funny, since she is one of the groups two main vocalists (for obvious reasons), and the other main vocalist - 4:12 - is actually one of the group's two visuals.
