Bought my 2014 F10 M5 CP the day before by 22nd birthday last year. Epic car, congratulations!!

Stage 1 turns it into even more of a monster, mine made 700bhp with a 95 RON tune 👍

I am honestly in love in this car, absolutely amazing!

Recognise the road! I was down staying in Bodmin for work whilst working on Polruan so drove that road everyday but only in the van :( spent almost a month down there. Is a gorgeous place. It’s a decent trek since I’m North East Scotland!

Champagne quartz grey wrap with a gloss black bodykit would look amazing and unique for sure! Slightly understated yet flamboyant colour. ‘Mature’ vibes with a nice oem + bodykit will look the business

I remember watching the “Old 118i” , man times flys haha. Smashing it mate 🤙🏽

I am definitely buying one of these, currently driving an stage 1 635d e64 convertible, super quick and turns heads everywhere I go. However the M5 is more practical plus a lot more

Lovely car! I have a F10 535d with the Harmon Kardon and it sounds great. Had a m140 with the h/k also and in the f10 it’s much better. If a retro fit isn’t crazy money then it’s definitely worth it

Found some small springs the same size as Emerald Struts springs. Popped them on thinking “it’s a waste of time” ..hey presto!! Works like a dream

Such a nice car. I reckon it could do with a little exhaust install then boy would it sound good

Cracking car you can’t beat an old classic it may be leagues apart for looks and technology compared to what’s on the market nowadays but nothing beats that V8 roar that the tree huggers have won in their battle to take away from us

Just be careful of sticking injectors, change the oil frequently, look out for rust at the top of the doors

Just a suggestion Matt, look into an aftermarket sound system instead of retrofitting the HK system. It’ll sound way better for the same cost. That’s what I did and it’s amazing ✌🏼

Could you do a price breakdown video? Like general price of these cars, insurance, tax, fuel ect

They're not too bad to run depending on your mileage. At the moment with fuel prices the way they are a tank is about £120, tax £580 a year and insurance just under £500 a year but not all insurers will cover it and they will insist you fit a tracker with a monitoring contract before you're covered for theft. Servicing can vary, I change my own oil every 3000 miles but I believe the dealer will charge under 500 quid for a standard service as well.

Changing the tyres from Michelin Supersports to PS4S will make a huge difference on wet roads especially.

A brilliant car, but for a young guy who's just got out of an 140, I can't see you keeping it for long. In comparison the M5 is a boat for motorway cruising, not for spirited country road drives. That said, I hope you prove me wrong and really enjoy your new car!

When you said 2 litre diesel 140bhp I knew it would a vag. Problem is you can get that engine in almost every vag car apart from the Audi A8, tourag and q7 so hard to guess which it is

Absolute monster of a car mate love it. 1 word of advice no matter what you do, dont remap it. I have an F10 LCI M5 myself and from fellow owners they have experienced nothing but a world of pain and problems and a anorexic wallet from remaps causing eye watering amounts of damage. Not saying it cant be remapped and have success but from experience and stories ive been told, it isnt a good idea to even think about. the M5 is a monster of a machine but a very sensitive one, especially to poor maintenance and tuning. It puzzles me how anyone can possibly want anymore power out of something like an M5 which can struggle to use all of its power sometimes anyways. Keep up the awesome vids brett 👍

My boot has a habit of spontaneously unlocking itself while I'm away from the car, and I only notice when the "boot open" warning flashes on the MFD, so I can't get custom struts like this 😅

Hi Brett are you worried about the notorious S63 catastrophic engine failures in the F10 M5 (and M6)? I'm interested in buying one but I'd be too scared to drive one without BMW extended warranty which prevents me doing any tuning or mods

I've got the G30 5 Series with HK... Not worth the retrofit costs, isn't that great, go aftermarket!

They are not that expensive to run as a daily. Only issue is when they blow up 😂. Common thing on these when tuned, they bend rods. I spent 15k on a rebuild with forged rods unfortunately

I'm wondering what you do for a living. You got a M5 which is expensive to begin with then insurance plus tax and fuel, you bought a new car after this as second car which is expensive as well and costs insurance plus tax and fuel again... All this must be a price tag of a lamborghini! Not hating or anything but i could barely afford my bmw f30 340i with basic options i legit feel poor now. Nice M5 tho.
