Dear Mr. Hanesh, I cannot comment on Airbags released or not as I understand that airbags cannot open till the time impact is severe enough that it damages chasis.. However, ride is stable and if the main criteria is safety, suggest to go for altroz.

Who says build quality of sonet is not good. A week ago, while crossing a signal, suddenly a honda activa appeared in front of my sonet htx, but before I could hit brake pedal, my sonet dragged the activa for about two feet. When I got gown the car to assess the damage, not a single scatch on the front bumper. You should not be always under the impression that these Tata or other 5* ratings cars will never get any dent or scratch. It always depends on the parts of both the cars which come in contact during collision. The weaker of the two will suffer more damage.

Hi , I was planning to go forward with HTK IMT Variant but am really doubtful after the safety and build quality reviews. Do you recommend this car or the new BREZZA 22".

Yes, I still recommend you to buy Sonet. Even a car with 5 Star rating can kill passenger based on the impact of the accident. There are many cases where BMW was broken into half. I believe that it is important to drive safe and car should be in our control, we are in a world where ratings can be manipulated by paying extra money and increase sales.

Aapne galat suna kia sonet abhi tak gncap mein test nahin hua hai... but kia sonet and venue same platform par bana hai and venue ka ANCAP crash test ho chuka hai jahan venue ne 4 star score kiya hai.... yahan par ek baat clear kar deta hoon ki ANCAP ke safety standard GNCAP se jyaada tough hote hai..

Seltos ko 3 star mila hai gncap se crash test mein it is true but car 2 peices mein brake nahin hua tha balki usko kaata gaya tha 2 peices mein kyonki rear seat passengers ko bahar nikalne k liye... and 120+ speed mein koi bhi car safe nahin vo 2 kya 4 tukdo mein bhi toot sakti hai... crash test only 60-64km/h mein kiya jaata hai and uske baad kya haal hote hai car ke aap dekhte hone vidio mein abb aap uski just double speed mein agar drive karoge then aap soch sakte ho ki kya se kya ho sakta hai🙏🙏

Okay. One more question If we ourself know that the car has been hit on this particular part and then we give it for denting and painting (EVEN ON THE SHOWROOM). I feel that the colour isn’t the same as which comes from showroom. And when i asked showroom authority they said we can only match upto 95% because at plant it comes with robotic paint. So did you feel the same after doing repaint. I mean the color is exactly same which it was earlier. Or just you can tell the difference Others cant notice that difference ??

Dear Mr. Abdul, Actually, I dnt know about the paint job in showroom but locally we get computerized color which matches the exact color of the car. Usually when we paint old car it's difficult to match as the repainted part with look frest as compared to the original one. In my case, the car was new so the computerized color exactly matched. + After the paint JOB, a polishing process is a must and it makes the repainted part smooth as painted by a robotic hand.

@@AbdulRahman-rj9pk Sheet metal par 100% match ho jaayega but fibre part part par 19/20 ka diffrence rahega kyonki plant mein poori car par ek saath ek hee ratio and ek hee batch mein painting hoti hai vo bhi advance technology se but service centre par itni advance technology and equipment possible nahin hota

Hi Ashwin, No, engine is good and braking is also comfortable. Only issue I faced with sonet is the mileage in initial days but now it's ok

Hi Bro, Door cover hota hai insurance mein. But if chota sa kharch hai toh bahar sey karwa lo coz aapko 1000₹ processing fees pay krni padegi & 0 debt insurance sirf 2 times hi claim kr sakte hai. Toh if kuch bada accident ho gaya toh humko kuch amount pay krna padega if 2 claims already ho gaye hai.

Hello Mr. Sai, each coat needs drying of 3-4 Hrs and Final coat needs at least 12-24 Hours prior Polish. In Monsoon, this entire process will take almost 48 Hours

My Nexon while was parked on road side.. A Himalayan bike with 2 riders with no control came n banged my car from back!.. I was inside the car when this happened.. The bike is 200kgs at good force n the bike has massive bar end metal rods for controlling vibrations n yet all it did for my car was leave a scratch!! 😛.. I easily put a 500 rupees polish to hide it!.. That's my 5 star rated Nexon's story..

I did the mistake of going to the official service center when I hit the bottom part of a pole while taking a left turn. Since this is a new model, I didn't want to risk taking it to a local tinkering place. To my shock, they replaced the whole door for 3 lines of scratches and a very small dent saying that if it happens again the door may fall off! They did a very bad paint job though and I was completely dissatisfied. Now I know that the local tinkering service provider does a better job than the official Kia body shop. I'm getting my car (same color) ceramic coated from a local dealer this week. Hoping it will cover all the minor scratches, swirl marks etc. On a different note, I feel that the Sonet is bigger than it looks/feels. I've seen a lot of Sonets get hit on the left rear while turning left. It could have used some telescopic cameras on the sides imo as the RVMs may be inadequate at times

Hello Mr. Jeevan, Indeed it is really sad to read what KIA Office Workshop did while assisting you. Local shops are really good and pocket friendly too but we need to search a reliable one. May I know the cost for ceramic coating as I checked with the same painter for full body painting and he said that it will be 18K for full body with good quality work. So instead of going for Ceramic coating, I will actually get my car painted as new after 5 Years. Do subscribe our channel to support.

30K is too costly for coating of a sub 4 metre SUV but it's their price u really took a good decision to go for After Market Service. Wish our car remains the same for 10 More years. Just a suggestion - Just put Anti rust coat for your car. I will be doing it next week.

Really sad to hear. I have GTX Plus Diesel. I put side foot rest. While turning corner of pole got hit side of my car. Fortunately my side footrest saved me. All impact was on foot rest only. I SUGGEST ALL TYPES OF SUV OWNERS TRY TO INSTALL SIDE FOOTREST

The cost for repair was just 2K with polish. This similar case was with our Honda City with same type of dent so I think we cannot judge built quality by these small dents or scratches.

How can you say ki bas chota sa sa hi bump tha aur isme hi dent pad gaya. Have you scientifically calculated all the forces that came into play when your car hit the other car? Did you do a finite element analysis of that? Did you consider stress concentration on Ansys? Did you consider the metal sheet thickness and it's section modulus? Did you? No right. Listen mate, a car's built quality cannot be judged like this. Being a production engineer I can only say that one cannot judge a product's quality just on the basis of one incident without considering all the above parameters. Each product may behave differently in it's unique way depending upon on the stresses induced during impact. If you really want to do a comparison among cars with respect to built quality then the only way is to do it the scientific way I.e. by DOE.

Hello Mr. Akshay, Indeed you are the best person to analyse the built quality as u are an Engineer. I am a Layman and impact according to me is that my car was very slow and there was not even a single scratch on fibre bumper of safari but was a dent on my car. @@Falakbaig you're welcome. Please educate other people as well. A nexon can be superior in build quality in some context but also a brezza or a sonet can be better in some other context. Depends on many factors. The only thing that we can compare in layman terms as far as built quality is concerned is the long term reliability of parts.
