    Thank you! It has now been 2 months since we arrived and already we have experienced so much. The store that was called "The Bay", was it part of Hudson Bay Company?

    It's a great idea and I thought about doing this earlier in the year however a few locals that have tried filming inside stores (to expose the insane food prices) have been aggressively asked to leave and that filming in the store is illegal. It's a very sensitive topic that should have more light on it, to be honest. Just for example, when my friend from down south was here, he was floored the most by the price of bottled water... A case of 24 small bottled water is $50 here. A gallon jug of spring water is nearly $20. It's pretty wild that this is still Canada.

    Hi Lynn! We are doing well. We are in the middle of winter season here so this is the toughest time of the year for us. Yoshi would love to see a familiar dog like Teddy again, he's a little depressed up here I think. The change in lifestyle for him was a bit too much.

    @@barrynangmalik2293 Hi Barry. We are talking about how the Northern store is ripping people off by charging 30% interest rate. We are saying it is better to buy machines down south and pay to ship, so you don't pay high interest and fees from Northern. I bought my honda last year from Nickle City, Thompson, Manitoba and they shipped it up to Arviat, still cheaper and more reliable than buying at Northern.

    Hay, is the Northern Allowance fund a month or a year?

  • @omarcaneomedia

    @omarcaneomedia

    I believe it is based off an annual amount, but paid monthly, and if you are working. In other words, I do not believe you receive the allowance if you are not working, but I could be wrong.
