It’s basically like 6th/5th grade I’d say. The work did get a little easier but it’s all different. The only grade jump that was hard to deal with was 7th and 8th grade but plz don’t stress! Everything will be fine and cool as long as you don’t start any drama lol:)

hi sophomore here 🫶🏾 middle school is nothing crazy but it depends on youre area though. but kids start vaping/smoking so dont be surprised if you go to the bathroom and there are people inhaling stuff. dont do it omg. its expensive, its unhealthy, and frankly its embarrassing. you can be friends with people who do but i rlly dont recommend it. dont let people peer pressure you, they do it really suddle. "oh you dont smoke 😒" dont let it offend you. people will start being messy so learn to stop being friends with people easily. dont fight people, it seems right in the moment but its embarrassing and you dont want to be beat up ☠️. dont be one of those "send j if you care" or "would you date me" dont be desperate for a relationship and i was and it was so embarrassing. dont let someone play you. if people tell you that theyre messy or that they cheat on everyone do NOT let them play you 😭. pay attention to class, skipping is dumb. if you dont want to be there dont go to school, if your parents make you go then youre there for a reason. lmk if you need anything else!!

im in highschool now but my tips for middle school or 6th grade (which I'm assuming your going into) are to firstly, don't worry too much bc you're just starting out you know?? don't worry about school too much, but make sure your still trying and maintaining your grades. try not to procrastinate (doing your assignments last minute) a lot because its a bad habit that will follow you into highschool and it will just make you stressed. make sure you have at least one good friend that you trust to stick with and don't spend your time in middle school trying to become popular because it just puts you into drama and its very overwhelming. being popular isn't everything!! and if you dont have any friends, that's okay!! I lost a lot of friends in middle school and at one point I had no friends but I made new ones by just talking to the people around me. don't fall for peer pressure. that's a big one for me bc this can get you into so much trouble!! If someone tries to pressure you into doing drugs, vaping, skipping school, sending nudes, etc. DONT DO IT. i mean it. you are your own person and you have a choice. you don't have to do anything you don't want to and just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean you have to. If someone threatens to stop being your friend because you don't vape or whatever, let them leave. they weren't a good friend anyways. and I'm saying this because a lot of my old friends have tried to get me to do stuff like that, but I know better. another tip I have is dont be fake. I mean it, don't be a bully, don't be rude to other kids bc you never know what other people r going through. this is an important one, DO NOT LISTEN TO WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY. if someone doesn't like you, let them be a hater. don't even think about them because people who have enemies in middle school r lame istg. something I like to say is that your probably not gonna see any of these people in 10 years so if you embarrass yourself, don't beat yourself up about it. its okay to have no friends, lunch isn't actually how it looks in the movies and if you just wear ya headphones and listen to music, people wont bother you. don't get into fights, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I mean it. fighting in school is really annoying. firstly it's not worth the 10 day suspension. kids in my school have been expelled and sent to JAIL for being in fights, it's really not worth it. my final tip is that ik a lot of people r like "oh don;t wear makeup ur so young enjoy your life" or whatever lame shit they say, but like if u wanna wear makeup, wear makeup!! I didn't wear makeup until like 7th grade and nobody really said anything, except for the pick me girls. they do exist btw. um i dont really know what to say now but likeee that's it, sorry for da long paragraph, hope ur middle school experience is better than mine was!!!!
