Hi. Im Australian and im just really confused on how your college system works. So over here is we wanna be a doctor then we do a bachelor of medicine. If we wanna be a teacher then we do a bachelor of education. If we wanna do international relations then you do bachelor of international relations. But you’re all out here doing regular high school classes at college level. I don’t understand how that enables you to be a doctor or anything. Please correct me if im wrong but none of it makes any sense to me

im a junior in high school and i might be wrong about this, but basically, we do 4 years of undergrad under a specific major and a specific track (like I would either be a neuroscience major in pre-med track or poly sci major in a pre-law track), and then go on to higher education. to become a doctor, med school is the main place where you would actually learn how to be a doctor, and then you have 3 years of residency to get hands-on clinical experience. hope this helped :)

@@nishtanandakumar4412 wow that sounds like a lot. Most of us do 4 years and thats it. But we only specialize in one course which like i said gives us that career. Sounds so confusing 😂

@@clairelenson5778 aaaaah it is a lot and the debt we all go into bc of student loans shows that too lmaooo but its nice bc you get a couple of years before you have to decide what your major is which (for someone who's rly conflicted btwn two careers like me) is really nice :)

@@nishtanandakumar4412 yeah thats good. We are really lucky in the way that we don’t have to pay our loan off until we start earning a certain amount of money each year. So once we start earning $60,000 or more a year then the government just takes it out of our pay
