Glad you're having a great time in Romania so far bro... I visited for the first time in August, a smaller city called Cluj. Me and my girlfriend were amazed at how friendly and hospitable everyone was, it was the friendliest country I had ever visited... that was until i visited Albania a couple weeks later. You gotta get yourself down to Albania bro, it's one heck of a crazy country and I think you will have an incredible and unique experience. I think it's because black people feel safe where there is other black people, and of course there isn't many in Eastern Europe. I had bad experience in Prague (i am mixed race) but apart from that I love Eastern Europe!

I’ve been to Romania. It’s safe like any other European country. I had a friend who was a few shades darker than me and he did get a few awkward stares from the older locals.

Yeah, the older people aren't used to darker skin. We started getting more African studens in the last...maybe 10 or so years, but it's still not super common. They don't mean anything by it, but they will give some awkward stares.

As a Romanian i think it because our country is pretty homogenous and usually Romanian’s arent used to seeing other colours, so if they look at you it’s out of curiosity mostly. I am curious too but I understand that it make people uncomfortable and they might think theyre racially profiled so I don’t stare at them

I’m heading to Romania in March, Cluj-Napoca, and I always come to your channel for a real perspective of what certain countries or cities are like. All the people that complain about how bad some of these countries or cities are are usually anti social or take the local peoples curiosity the wrong way. Even though I’m going in March I’ve already started learning the language as it’s something I tend to learn to show respect to the culture of the countries and to catch the locals off guard as they usually expect me to not know the language 😅.

I recommend You Visit other cities in Romania, Like Sibiu, Oradea, Cluj Napoca, Timisoara. And also You Must Come in Summer to Vama Veche @ The Black Sea Coast.

Areas I would recommend in Bucharest are Dristor and Drumul Taberei, especially the parks.
