Y’know despite his anger issues, benson is a really lenient boss. On their first day mordecai and rigby cause a fucking black hole that almost consumes them aswell as the entire park and he still doesn’t fire them.

I love the animation style of the earlier season 1 episodes! Their facial expressions are more exaggerated and "cartoony" compared to the later episodes. For an example, just look at how big and expressive their eyes get in parts of this scene. I wish the whole series was animated in this style. It fits so well!

I agree so much!! The rest of the series emphasizes “staying on model”, which is a good thing in many ways but it limits the ability for the characters to look expressive! This old style seems hand-drawn so it’s more dynamic.. but you’re right, the whole series would have looked so good in the old style 😭

It's crazy how skips didn't know what to do but Benson did

I like how Benson was kinda calm when there is a literal black hole in the park. Then again, knowing that he was like Mordecai and Rigby at one point, this probably wasn’t the *first* time he seen this happened

This was originally the pilot before the reused it in season 2, so its smooth because they needed to make a good first impression on the viewers

I think this wpuldve fit more to be the first episode, it sorta introduces the plot in most episodes (ex: simple situation, somehow creates chaos, then gets resolved) and it also introduces how benson would get mad, introduces rigby being less responsible while mordicai being a little more responsible, Even though benson knows what to do first, it kinda introduces skips “know it all” character by him knowing RPS is an evil game, and uhh for pops…. All i gotta say is pops.

It was originally the pilot and it wasn't exactly established who was all knowing. In this case it was originally Benson who was wise and skips was just all brawn

Can we talk about how Mordecai and Rigby had the Strength to create a Black hole just by playing rock paper scissors? Black holes can destroy entire SOLAR SYSTEMS, Perfect Cell from Dragon Ball Z was going to destroy the Solar System while Mordecai and Rigby were able to pull it off in mere seconds by playing a children's game... And Rigby survived being in that thing!!! Mordecai and Rigby are OP... But can they beat Goku?
