He felt something for her too. You can see that after he slammed the door, in his eyes..

Lies hurt especially when they come from the ones you love

I rewatched this after a few years, so I forgot the twist that he's her bodyguard. When I saw this scene when he was carrying her, I noticed her security just let him do it. I know for sure if he werent her bodyguard, her security would've taken her from him and knocked him out. Then that fated moment in the car happened, and it all makes sense.

They won't knock him out because they know he's her love and they pre-cleared him earlier to board AF1. Its not their first time meeting. They will knock out outsiders who aren't pre-cleared to ride with them. The president sure doesn't want his security knocking out his guests.

First Daughter and Chasing Liberty were my favorites. Ohh to relive the 2000s romcom era.

I had one similar for my prom!

I just watched the movie today. Guys, he literally confessed he was studying how to be a bodyguard, he was rooming next-door to her, was able to get her in and out of rooms without the press seeing her. He was obviously a bodyguard. The movie was also giving Wattpad story so yeah.

But for whatever reason, that 3 second scene when he pulls out the radio, says "lucky charm secure!" *shocked Pikachu face* *slam!* *skids off* will just play in my head. On repeat. Years of this randomly popping in my head at the dumbest moments. Like, WHY?? 😂 It didn't shock me, I wasn't sad, and seeing again how he slams it in her face really shouldn't be that funny to me 😂 so why?! Wtf

I wonder if Katie Holmes was told all along that James was supposed to be an agent undercover and not her character's love? It would be good if the director kept it from her, to make the surprise more genuine. Just like in Captain Philips, the pirate actors and the crew actors were barred from ever meeting till their first scripted screen together
