First Community Psychiatric Nurse appointment

This is the follow up CPN (Community Psychiatric Nurse) appointment, to my CMHT (Community Mental Health Team - Secondary Services) assessment. In this vlog, I go over how I think the appointment went & what support has been offered.

I currently see one myself, I quite like her and I find her very supportive. I know what you mean by so-called friends. I don't make any effort in making friends. However I do deal with severe PTSD related illness which many times have been life threatening. I started to see the CMHT myself since May this year because I was close to allowing myself to die from giving up living after a flashback.

I haven't watched your most recent videos yet (or this one), but I'm wondering if you are still doing the Interpersonal Therapy? If so, how many sessions have you completed, and are you finding it helpful? If not, how come? (Please feel free to link me to the video if you've already explained all this!)

Unfortunately I stopped Interpersonal Therapy quite suddenly! It was nothing to do with the therapy itself, but with the therapist. I'd been struggling a lot; in the run up to my last therapy appointment. I opened up to my therapist about a diagnosis I thought I might have, but he showed very stigmatising views of that, and I lost all trust in him. I found he wasn't taking me seriously, when I said I didn't feel safe. After that appointment, I was referred to secondary services. This is the vlog where I explain what happened: kzread.info/dash/bejne/h6OCptCohKbbj5M.html I would love to resume Interpersonal Therapy with a different therapist, but I guess it depends if anyone else in my local mental health team (whether Primary or Secondary care) who is trained in this therapy, is available.

Thanks for replying. It's very unfortunate that this happened. I hope you are able to continue on with the Interpersonal Therapy at some point. I'm curious, have you ever tried ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)? Can you explain to me the difference between Primary and Secondary care? Are you in the UK? Thanks for answering my questions. I appreciate it. I may have mentioned, I am a psychology student, but I have also been a client myself several times over the years. Thanks for your videos!
