Jonathan, what sets you apart from a lot of vloggers is that your interactions are just so raw and genuine. Nothing staged, no hype, no clout chasing, and use of the dreaded poverty porn... Just pure unadulterated experiences and conversations with everyday people. Keep doing what you're doing and if you decide to change the way you make your videos in the future, I hope you always keep real. It's what a lot of people can relate to....

Thanks for this comment, John! I don’t think it would be enjoyable to make exaggerated videos that weren’t genuine. I think viewers can see through that if people aren’t real in their videos. It’s much more sustainable as well, being myself rather than putting on a show

Bohol is a perfect place for you Jonathan you even visit barbershop, turu turo restaurants I see your vlogs visit wet markets I am stock with you just keep making vlogs you are very interesting, you mingle with the locals it’s enjoyable to see I am watching you from Florida USA you are fortunate to work on the go while you’re enjoying places, now I am old , I was young when I move to the USA from the Philippines I have to work harder than others because of responsibility but it pays I was able to bring my family in the USA now I see your vlogs I am preparing my vacation, light backpacking 2-3 months hope twice a year, enjoy the company of the locals they are the through Filipinos friendly, welcome see you in the wild or on the beaches.

Your first visit to a Filipino barber shop is always an amazing experience, my frist time was only 35 ph (.75 cents US) but I did not get serenaded. You need do a deep dive into American Gold Oldies espceially the ballids, Filipinos love the soulful ones.

Part of you is left in Bohol, trusting the barber to do a close shave on you is awesome!!! Jonathan I wanna bet, you'll never leave Bohol!!!

I'm flying out of the US on the 29th to meet my SO in the Philippines. Manila, Cebu, and Bohol are some of our destinations (I'll be there for 3 weeks). Thanks for all your videos, amazingly informative, down to earth, and super exciting to watch as I prep for my trip. If you're still in Panglao or Bohol in a few weeks I'll buy you a beer. Cheers!

Exactly. I think it is programmed in the Filipino DNA that we are gooď singers but not technically_scientifically inclined. We are more on ARTS (Asians) while westerners are more on SCIENCE.

She’s playing a right handed guitar upside down. I’m impressed. I’m a lefty too but I still play right handed. That’s probably why I’m not very good. On a side note, it’s always a good idea to ask for the pricing first before you get any service. Especially in popular tourist areas. It’s harder to get scammed that way.

Tbh, i'm not a fan of barbering vlogs. But the conversation you had with the people there was interesting so i did listen to all of it (while mostly doing something else on my PC hehe.) I wish all or most of us here can sing well as you said. Coz i don't, hehe. I think it's more precise to say that most of us love to sing and many do sing well. Btw, itlog is pronounced fast too like pansit Jonathan. So it's not EAT'log but itlog'. With Palawan, you should pronounce it same as Salamat. Accent on the second syllable and not on the first like how you (or most foreigners i see on yt) pronounces it.

From one Kalbo to another, you look fresh and awesome with that fresh shave.

Missed the old school razor blade for shaving. Philippines are still very much old school hope they stay that way in America and elsewhere the barbers and salons are scared to injure the customer for fear of getting sued. If you have haircut here in North America it doesn't feel as clean cut than those in Philippines.

So about the lechon,lets just say that the pig's weight is 45kls,it would cost you about P13,500 plus the fare for the person cooking the lechon maybe P2,000-P5,000 the price also depends on the place where your at, and the price for the pig deffers from place to place so some would just cost P200+ , where I'm at if you want to have a whole lechon it would cost you bet P10,000 - 25,000 depending on the pigs weight The prices at bohol are pricer because it's a tourist destination

I have 2 left handed cousins and they play the guitar upside down 2. We never had lessons on how to play it, we're just handed the chords chart and pointed out how to read the dots, then learned it on our own.
