This telefilm is based on real life events of a young physician during the liberation war of Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) in 1971.
Story line: A young female physician was forced to work in a small city hospital during the war with very little ancillary help. The hospital beds were given to the wounded Pakistani soldiers and the general patients were left to be treated on the hospital floor.
One day, a wounded freedom fighter was admitted to the hospital after being chased and shot by the military. The doctors and nurses tried to keep the cause of his “wound” secret but a Pakistani informer eventually found that out and tried to take him away. Then the cat and mouse game began between the hospital staff and the military!
