Your smart to have several saws, if one is acting up, you have another to fill in till you get the balky saw up & running again. Like how you keep some space between you and the other Bucker.

The Echo 501P is my favorite saw today.. I have always loved a 50 cc saw for everyday use and this is my all time favorite. I had a Sachs-Dolmar many years ago and loved it. About 10 years ago a dealer opened in Columbus and I went up there and bought a saw. It was very disappointing and the dealer didn't help. I think it was more a dealer problem than a saw problem, but I havn't had one since and he is out of business. I love to burn locust in my wood furnace.

The dolmar sounds and runs just like a ported, original 372 saw. Before they had the strato air/fuel delivery or otherwise known as x-torque. And other emissions stuff. . Genuine versions of the gen1 372 are still available, but only in countrys such as Brazil, with no emissions laws. And obviously sence there not supposed to be in north America market, there is no warranty.

You're cutting the hardest woodb in North America next to Ironwood. That's why it takes on a sheen and lasts almost forever. Many houses were framed in black locust so that it's hard to find now.

Disclaimer: No grubs were harmed in the filming of this video (as far as you know!). And here's some advice for you Herb(?): When you are cutting those big rounds into smaller chunks, DON'T cut them on the face of the Wood! Lay them on their side and cut the back side. You are then cutting with the grain instead of against it and it will cut much easier!

Bros got an iron grip on that saw, if it kicks back from binding in the wood like it did in that time stamp it's only gonna jolt the handle back against him and that's it. No risk of injury.
