you're so lucky to get to try it early! thanks for letting us know about Firewatch. I'd very much like to see more of Firewatch, it looks great so far and I like it more and more each video you guys put up. also, i tend to be a person who waits to buy games until they are on sale, so let me know if i should wait a short while (maybe $10 off) or a long while (really cheap). So far, it looks like i'm gonna want the game pretty fast :)

Not sure if this has been answered somewhere, but is it fully open-world or are you limited to where you can walk? (invisible walls to stop you going off course?)

I brought Firewatch yesterday morning and was so immersed in the storyline that I completed it by the early afternoon. I would highly recommend it, because the story has wonderful characters who's dialogue and relationship have been thoughtfully written and developed. The game was engrossing from start to finish, managing to successfully weave a tale of intrigue, mystery and isolation -- not easy. The game was a refreshing change from almost all other 'open world' games I've played, and a real pleasure to experience. Well Done #CampoSanto If you're looking to experience an original story with meaningful dialogue, then this is the game to try folks : )

It looks like you are going to spend a lot of time looking at Fred Flintstone's hand holding the walkie talkie!

i am working my way to halfway of this great game. but for better immersion, some missing animations/visuals could be updated. example, hand gesture(s) when turning on the flashlight. and when you look down, you should be able to see the flashlight attached to your body etc. and you could manually use the flashlight by hand, pointing its beam anywhere you want. when walking, why are the hands always clenched? i expect to get binoculars soon, no? when putting back items in cache/supply boxes, you should be able to do it properly (like the books on the bookcase) and not just throw/fling/drop them. etc.

Ah! Such a lovely looking game, I cant wait for it to come out, I did pre-order it on steam, but for reasons beyond my own understanding, I think I will also get it on PS4. lol

what happens when you complete the game? does it just end, or can you roam around finding stuff?

This is essentially an open world Walking Dead, but without zombies and it's first person. I can't wait for this game, it looks amazing.

Do I buy The Witness or Firewatch? They both seem like they're on a similar vibe.

is this a survival kinda game, cause I noticed theres a day mechanic, kinda like on games like kingdoms where you go through each day, or is that just to show how long you have been playing

+Callum Marshall I strongly doubt it, it's a "action based" game, sort of like The Walking Dead or Life is Strange, but with an open world and in first person, most of the things are scripted though but still decisions that are being made by the player would reflect further in the game in your relationship with Delilah as your "walkie-talkie companion" I'm pretty sure there won't be just a talk and roaming, there will be unexpected moments, perhaps wild animal encounters, bits of action as the place takes in the woods and your tower quite isolated, so you will be counting and relying on Delilah in case of emergency.

I think it's scripted...if you watch the last video you notice light changes with the story. For example when Henry falls and closes his eyes, then the light changes or when he enters the cave it's late evening and when he exits it's almost dark.

Roughly how long will this game be? And how much will it cost

I like the look of this.

quality game! take pictures with the camera, you see the pictures when the credits go up at the end.

The dialogue is great, the setting is interesting and the story seems promising. The thing is that it looks extremely linear and is probably very short. The game seems like it will have a very open map when you first look at it, then you realise that it's a series of corridors. Not sure if this is worth £15.

So buying this because of you guys.

My first look glimpse of a fire watch trailer gave me the impression of a slow burn horror, it was good but I was still somehow disappointed that it never seemed to go full horror. A well these points are all true so it's probably my mistake.

How long would you say this game is? Without really spoiling it if that's possible? e.g 'x'+ hours Just want to get a feel for the play time Thanks in advance :)

Is the game running at 60FPS?

Assuming that the pricing will be same as Steam($20), this will mark a positive change in gaming! Personally, I thought it would be $40 at least, due to the trend of high prices for little content. I'm not saying this game has little content; a point on which I have little information, but I do have a suspicion that I will be able to complete it in 1 sitting. Here's to hoping I'm horribly mistaken!

#squadgoals can't wait to make my way through Firewatch. Especially after having replayed the Vanishing of Ethan Carter more than twice!

It looks like one of these games that is all about the story. Like the walking dead. Some people want games that hold your hand and tickle your balls every 10 minutes. This game is an experience and makes you think

+ChristmasTrax Whereas I personally can't wait to play this, I get why people are apprehensive. Walking Dead is about survivors in a zombie apocalypse. You immediately know what's at stake so the drama is there before you even start playing. I don't want to know any more about this game, I trust the developers and love the style of it. But I certainly understand the opposing opinion.

'Walking Simulator' shouldn't be considered a negative. Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, for example, is one of the most compelling and moving games on Playstation. They may not be everyone's cup of tea, but that doesn't mean they are bad. Some people want more action, and that's fine. Some people like engaging with story-driven narratives at a slower pace. But 'walking simulator' shouldn't (and doesn't) automatically = bad.
