Tom Flood Yep! The entire soundtrack from the second movie is pretty epic too. A few songs may get on your nerves after a few listens tho...

One does not need to understand a single word to get the message that this delicious song and video delivers. Fantastic. So glad to have found these two, both solo and together. I am really getting into this style lately.

Yes, same here. It's the video/song that I come back to most often. I love the expression Gudrun makes at 1:31-1:32 ! She could clear a room with that glare.. love it. This song/video makes me want to visit Berlin very much and check out the scene.

Oh, SWEET Anita, and sweet Gudrun too! Really, this is an incredible song. Totally sexy, yet undercut throughout by sarcasm and irony [dig the final line of the song, which collapses the whole narrative]. If you think about it, "Firething" - with its conflation of male sexuality and charisma with dangerous heat - can rather be considered a version of [The Birthday Party's] "Sonny's Burning", done from a female perspective. Just a thought...

I watch this video so much it's indecent. It's probably more indecent that I do so thanks to a crush (of sorts) I've developed on Anita, though. I build up these images of people (quite consciously fictional things) and then become obsessed with those images. I guess the benefit of doing that with versions of people who existed years ago is that there's absolutely zero expectation of it having anything to do with who these people really are.
