Very clear, & steps were easy to follow. But, my remote still didn't hook up. 😒 Sooo, I'm going to have a friend come over and help me. I am still excited about my new fire stick. But, very irritated with the connecting process.

Thanks man. Unplugging the USB cable and restarting device did it for me. I got a screen saying we cant detect your TV remote and essentially got all these tips like you gave us. Pressed home button for 10 seconds and voila - works now. Thanks a lot man

Thank you! I watched maybe 8 different videos and none worked. What did work was to remove batteries from remote and pull fire stick power cord both for 60 seconds, then holding down left, backspace and menu for 30 seconds. It finally worked! Thank you, it's been months of using stock TV remotes

Unplugging the Firestick for 60 seconds then Removing the battery for 60 seconds worked. Thank you!!

At last, the 3rd option worked for me 😊 thank you so much. Was losing the will to live 😅

Doing a combination of these things it worked!! Unplugged fire stick, took out batteries, pressed home button and all 3 buttons. Back in business! Thank youuu!!

Number three after six times worked

We never have any problem with our one year old Amazon 4k fire tv stick until yesterday after power failure. We could not get the usual menu as only the words "fire tv" on our TV screen. Then we unplugged the fire tv stick power point which is connected to our TV for one minute after watching this video; it works immediately after replugging the power point. Thanks a lot fyi.

The third step is what did it for me. What got me trying to repair my remote to my device was attempting to fix/upgrade a different Firestick that doesn’t have a remote. Tried pairing my remote to this other Firestick with no luck. I then tried to use the remote on my Firestick which come to find out I couldn’t. Kept getting a blocking green light no matter what I did until I watched this video. Thank you for posting this vid 👌🏾

Thank you! So frustrating! Unplugging firestick and removing batteries from remote for a minute worked for me. Then I pressed home on the remote for 30 seconds or so and voila, fixed. Thanks again, very helpful.

Thanks much, the 60 sec thing seemed to help. Still couldnt get the home screen to work but could go to settings and asked "alexa" show me the home screen which worked and remote works as normal. Several other demos I tried did nothing for me.,, thanks again. Good thing I saw yours as I was getting ready to order a new remote,, whew!
