1:46 I've thought of doing something similar with my Sodor AU where the episode "You Can Do It, Toby!" takes place between "Thomas In Trouble" and "Dirty Objects", albeit with a little rewriting.

Some AU rambling of mine. 1. The dark green tank engine seen in the RWS Troublesome Trucks storybook is female and named Gwen. She was the Tidmouth Harbor shunter from 1925 to 1944 when she was destroyed in an accident. She was replaced by Rosie. 2. Winston, the red engine from Sodor's early years, is an FR D5. 3. The William Middleton red engine is named Alled Greene, not Greedy. 4. Molly has a form of autism that was caused by some problems in her construction. This causes her shyness and her being a social outcast. Yellow is a comforting color for her, hence her unusual livery. 5. The NWR engines didn't have numbers until 1925 as they hadn't quite figured out how to do it until Sir Topham suggested they just do regular numbers. 6. M.C. Bunn is a diner that was one of the first businesses opened in Tidmouth Station in 1925 when the NWR moved their HQ and main locomotive power to Tidmouth. Created by Martin and Charlotte Bunn, the franchise has extended to other stations along the main line, branch lines, and single stores on their own in Sudrian towns as well as some locations in England and one in Scotland. More diners in the rest of the U.K. as well as talks of an American branch are planned for 2023 and beyond. 7. Technically, blue is the NWR's main livery color. However, choices by engines or heritage reasons have led to a whole variety of liveries on the Fat Controllers Railway. The closest to a full blue NWR blue fleet was in 1925 before James arrived as Henry had been blue at the time.

You just gave me a thought. Most diesels built after steam ended on British rails started to like steam engines and see them as superior

so you’re telling me that you’re version could go 5 years without being repainted, and that 5 year livery also wasn’t red.

Painted like a bee when Gundam started and only changed back when Transformers started. :P

Very interesting ideas! Could I use that last one in my AU? I’ll give you credit if you want it
