haven't had the time to play this league , but watching you develop this build has been amazing! The playstyle has been something i wanted to achieve for a few leagues now but i just cant make my own builds for the life of me. Looking forward to play this the next time im able to hop on! thanks for making awesome builds and videos showcasing/explaining them!

Build is great when you’re plowing through huge swathes of trash mobs, but when you encounter something tough and fast shit gets much more difficult immediately cause throwing traps is so slow and makes you vulnerable. I’m making second character for comfy farming all expensive upgrades beyond Eye of Malice and Searing Touch and hopefully I’ll be doing Ubers soon. I’m glad i league started it, I got 2 voidstones at the fights were laughably easy, but man is the witch frustrating at times. Inherently squishy and slow paired with relatively close combat can be a pain.

Ive had the same problem. Though i think something is not real correct with my build as i dont got that much DPS in POB.. =') But struggling alot with bosses that are chasing me.

same here pretty much the same build like in the video but my dmg is only on like 1-2 mill and squishy af without dawnbreaker

You can click faceted fossil in the mods/crafting section and it'll show the +1 to gems and you can use it for the fossil calculations. Corroded + fundamental would have been most optimal for your chest but dense+pristine isn't that far off.

instead of an Skin of the Lords, you could also go for an Elder shaper chest for a +2 and then (double) corrupt them, since Awakeners orb aren`t that expensive, you should be able to get a +4 for less than a (usable) Skin of the Lords.

Good job on this build mate! I started boneshatter jugg with the aim to delve and do sims. But I'm looking to farm some logbooks to stack some currency now so going to try this character! was a hard choice between Jugg and this one but hey why not try both! haha. Keep it up

POE would be such a cool game if one did not need a PHD in crafting to actually get into deep end game.

It's not hard if u simplify it by either focusing on making 3 prefix or suffix that u want with essence and meta mod it to lock your perfect prefix/suffix and use a veiled chaos or reforge harvest. Or use craftofexile to calculate your odds

Talked to my psychiatrist friend after one year in his own practice. This is what he hated. Someone comes in and he gives them a treatment plan. Hi Sir I love the effort that you're putting into your videos :D I've been playing this build since league start and not gonna lie it slaps but the progression is just so complicated for me cuz i'm still a pretty new player. On Front Page of Craft of Exile - select faceted fossil to enable the +1 mods on appropriate items. You can THEN select modes and use calculator

+1. Almost impossible to get Spell Suppression and +1 Dex though, cheapest would be around 25 Divines worth of tries. For Dex+Int, Corroded + Faceted is 1 in 13, currently about 580 Chaos. If the third suffix fills, 2.2% of Additional PHys Reduction, 3.5% SS, 2.1% Chaos - you'll most likely get Regen (15.6), or Str/Dex (12.7 each)

Was there a drop filter somewhere for this build? I can't find it anywhere.

how did you craft a unique item like eye of malice? simply use ember and ichor on it?

I got a perfectly rolled Dawnbreaker Shield dropped from my Quest Exarch in SSF. Haven't made the switch yet, because I would lose too much damage from the staff I'm currently using.

idk what im doing wrong, i have crafted like almost the same items like in this build passive tree is the same skills are the same buit im squishy as hell and my dmg is only like on 2 mill i even got a skin of the lords and my flasks are the same or better what can i do? my evation is 17k without flask and my armour 7k withiout flask.. i have to waer dawnbreaker but i would like to take it of and concentrate on my dmg output.. fire trap is like lvl 30 and all my resistances are cap i just dont know

I don't know why but my pob is close to identical (missing a few levels) to your 86 Elementist build and my ignite damage is no where even close to yours. Are the boots that big of a bump with the Elder Ichor stuff? Like I am around 600k combined and even if I add all of the missing nodes I am only about 700k compared to your PoBs 2 million.

for chest you could also go +2 duration, +2 trap double corrupt cloak of flame, thats the route i went, still cheaper than a good skin of the lords.

Gave the build a try. It is okay. Probably not great for beginners in POE. I had very high DPS and low armour with the 2 sceptres. It felt very squishy at times in rare T 7 to 8 maps at L86. I tried the shield and added a heavy belt which increased armour and still had only at 70% physical damage reduction in game tab with all flasks active. For now, I am rerolling, but might come back to this later, thanks for all the effort you put into this build though.

Personnaly I kept up with searing touch lathi, it gives some block which you can increase easily with staff mastery close to the left side jewel socket and I didn't put anything into trap nodes to concentrate on spell suppression and spent a bunch of points in the physical ailments node to make myself immune to bleeding, corrupted blood and 90% proof against poison with some extra chaos res, the only problem is really ignite damage and burning ground but pantheon can mitigate that. I stayed at 4 million dps for a while and now I'm at 6 millions now that I finally afford to spend on whisper of doom anoint but 2 to 6 millions dps is plenty for mapping while easily reaching 60000+ eff.hp. Absolutely can't do uber though :') Life regen is where this build really hurt so I'm really looking for life regen on items and I use two health flasks. If a build has incredibly high dps like this one it gives you a lot of leeway to shift stuff around to increase your defense.

How do we get +level all spell gems on weapon again?

I have a +1 Active +1 Support gems 22% T1 Suppress chest, no health so using the mastery, works like a charm

what is the next ? new build?

Yeah. You could theoretically hit with a pure cold or lightning after you ignite if you wanted to min max but it would be super clunky. Otherwise you'll be doing less damage.

why is the dawnbreaker shield good?

main thing is 20% of phys damage (and other elements) as fire, you can run ruby flask with it as well to reduce the fire damage by 20%, and scorch on block happens sometimes, since the shield also gives like 50% block chance

How many tries until you managed to add EB to your weapon? So far 4 attempts and tons of divines down the drain (EB sceptres are about 3div each)

Neither fire trap nor Frost Blink "Hit", so are unaffected by "Shaper of Flames" for ignite chance and as a result they are not igniting consistently. The build got alot better when I put ignite chance on my weapons and took some from the tree to ensure ignite. I also used combustion for that purpose on fire trap instead of efficacy. Maybe I'm missing something else, but that is what it looked like to me.

This is just completely incorrect. Sorry man but I think it's placebo. They do hit and they do ignite. Ignite chance does nothing if you have shaper of flames.

I appreciate the detail, but when you start getting in the weeds with how to craft things I just gloss over. I don't think I'll ever understand crafting in this game

There's literally no way to find a fire dot multi fractured weapon with Eldritch Battery for less than... what? 30 divines? :/ Not sure, don't really want to check prices for that, it's scary enough to just think about it hahaha How did you manage to get it? One of those bases is already 2 divs or so... can't keep buying infinite fractured bases until randomly getting EB.

You can combine trees using an Igneous Geode. I was buying EB trees for 50-100 chaos early on and combined onto my fractured base.

You craft on one scepter and buy others with EB tree, then try to combine them in forge.

whispers of doom gives you an extra curse if you allocate it on the tree or annoint on amulet

Seeing those first few minutes makes me realize I will never be able to do Ubers on ANY build. I suck mechanically, and either will not have enough damage or will just die (if there's even a build that can face tank such stuff). (Note - I'm even older than Subtractem himself.)

There are a few builds that can facetank all but the biggest of the ubers damage outputs. Given the increase in power coming from crucible trees, those builds might be able to handle those things too now.

I remember when hitting 100 was actually difficult and/or expensive.. now you hit 100 in the same day you start leveling your character if you have like 10 divines to level him

Ascendencies and new crafting options changed the game, but it still takes a lot of time and you aren’t hitting level 100 same day. I like that you progress faster now. Not everyone has 8 hours a day to play this game. Those players still want to experience the content in the game. Back in 2013 when I was playing very few of the player base was actually experiencing the end game ‘juiced’ maps and sustaining it.

@@subtractem i rerolled day 2 because i took off all damage to put in grace deter defiance and skitter and was still dying. went back to old faithful EA champion. ill probably just make the trap build a glass cannon later in the league when they change the league mechanic to actually drop loot or bring back sanctum

dunno, you can see what i did and how i progressed in all the videos. i walked it through day by day on stream. very low budget, all easily self-craftable gear on a budget and im killing ubers now. think you're missing something to make it click.

he literally couldn't have held your hand more in all these updates. It's not a "him" problem, it's a "you" problem. Plenty of other folks (including myself) got this build going just fine and I'm not printing divines.

I just gave up this league, i can't find any gear, in my level 70s, zero drops of interest. Only 3 total uniques found, can't get sockets right for nothing on this build, i have zero clue how people are progressing this build or finding any currency/loot. Worst league start ever for me personally.

@@HadesCannotBeBothered Leagues past loot progression as you went through acts was enough to get all sockets, boots with good speed, etc to start on maps when finished. I literally feel like in my 70s like any gear i get is useless because stats are dog shit. Which seems like i could fix..but i get no currency to do that. lol

That's a very low amount. Casual expedition and essence should get even intermediate players that amount on the low end. It's about the strategy and planning much more than raw time. Honestly I barely played this past week, been too busy helping folks with the build. Palsteron did the same strat as me if you want more detail outside of my atlas video.
