Yeah, I burn about 5 full cords a year.

The only time I have ever shut off my pump is when it went out or on the off occasion when we’ve lost power. I had an old timer tell me those little pumps are meant to run continuously. So in 13 years mine has been shut off once to replace and maybe 6 times for loss of power. That shed is the cats meow!

Thanks for the advice, I’m planning on just leaving it running from now on. The woodshed is going to be great. Not fighting with an ice and snow covered tarp at 5 in the morning will be priceless!

Tony you have a nice set-up there. I’ve been holding off lighting my OWB since the weather has been pretty warm but probably this week I’ll have to start it up. Thanks for sharing 👍TCT

It was good to see how a outside boiler works. I have never seen one as of yet. Maybe when I build my shop I'll look into one. I don't think we can do a install on a Double wide mobile home. How is Austin liking his car?

Hey Juan, how was the hunt? You could use heat exchanger and utilize your existing HVAC system to use a wood boiler. It’s a huge up front cost but if you plan on heating multiple out buildings in the future it might something worth looking into. He’s still loving the car, he cant get get his license for 4 months but he’s looking for parts and pieces to upgrade the car already. Thanks for the support brother I appreciate it!

Hey Tony, great video and boiler setup you have. Question, how much of the splits in your new woodshed do you anticipate burning this winter? What’s your usage per year? I was thinking about installing a boiler but have heard horror stories about the huge amount of firewood necessary to keep them running.

I figured the woodshed holds around 5 full cords or so. Last year I burned a little over 4 cords from mid October to May. The gasification units don’t burn as much wood as the older style but they are a little more picky in the quality of wood. Hopefully this help, reach out if you have any other questions. I think you knocked it out of the park with the woodshed next to the boiler. Good job Tony. I hate those over complicated bullshit thermostats too. I used to look after a furnace at work that kept asphalt hot that had about 40 buttons just to set the temperature😅
