Fire Support: Range Corrections - Bracketing
Ойындар
There are four techniques that can be used to conduct area adjustment fires. Successive bracketing is best when observers are inexperienced or when precise adjustment is required, such as precision registrations and destruction missions. It mathematically ensures that fire for effect rounds will be within 50 meters of the target. Hasty bracketing is best when responsive fires are required and the observer is experienced in the adjustment of fire. One-round adjustment provides the most responsive fires but generally requires either an experienced observer or an observer equipped with a laser range finder. Creeping fire is used in danger close missions. This video focuses on successive bracketing.

vader545 hope you explained OT factor. After seeing all those crazy long and short distances thrown up, never once being the same distance at the same impact point, anyone with half an idea what was going on earlier in the video was probably lost after the last portion of the video.

Same bro. Hope you got it lol
The Call For Fire Process (as in FM 6-30 (Ch 4)) would be great!
the sequence of impacts at the end was pretty useful. cheers.
back in FAOBC, we had to do classroom training on adjusting fire. It was hard as hell because it was a 2D simulation. When we got to the field, and actually adjusted live fire, it was much easier
More of these Field Artillery related vids please.
Manual Gunnery would also be very interesting. I think you need to focus on the respective basic "core" topics first before hitting the advanced levels, then these videos have the potential to become an integral part of the Army's training assets and the baseplate of any instructional framework.
i was watching "danger close fire from generation kill" and this was in my recommended
Did this with a PRC77, binos and compass and map.

Way cool, this Army momma caught on right away. Sign me up
*initial blast* Drop 400 plus 75, send effect.
I was made in Fort Sill
Both would be nice, but first Fire Support then Gunnery...
If I joined the military this is exactly what I would want to do.
Is this game arma or vbs?
To make a long video short ... if something blows up in front of you ... then something behind you ... you better run ....
Just because active soldiers know all this doesn't mean civilians aren't interested in the process themselves. Lots of war movies and shows and games feature calls for artillery and it's nice to know what "Plus one, strike three, fire concentration charlie, drop 200, left 100, fire for effect" means.
Miss on purpose?
13F baby. Ship to basic in January
