Fire Starters Made From Toilet Paper Roll & Dryer Lint

Fire Starters Made From Toilet Paper Roll & Dryer Lint. In this video I show how to make a fire starter out of toilet and hand towel rolls, dryer machine lint and wax ( candle type wax). Fire starters work great. Very useful when camping or starting a camp fire. Made from material normally thrown away. Great way to recycle.

I’m plotting something like this, neat to see others think alike! I’m also debating adding a fuse/wick or maybe even a spiral wick. That or some sort of striker/self igniting bit. Granted the more fancy it is the more it is for fun than utility honestly…

Couldn’t believe how well this worked! And I only had a few for my garden burner ! I used maybe half a dozen! It definitely does what it says in the tube! 😂 🔥

Heat😊ing wax directly on a burner is extremely dangeous. Better to create some sort of double boiler (small can inside of a larger one can work ) or a dedicated, carefully temp controlled electric frying pan with a lid to snuff a fire in an emergency.

Oven at lowest setting. Paraffin will start to melt just over 100 degrees, so 170 is more than plenty, but well below the danger zone.

It does work but the lint burns faster but it does work! I seen another that wrapped it in tissue paper ( like a candy wrapper ) and lit the end . The wax I think helps to slow down the lint as it burns fast.

Think of the lint as the wick and wax as the candle...... The wick by itself burns quickly, the wax allows the wick to burn the wax before the wick itself burns off. More flame, more time.

What type of wax? Parifin? Can dried leaves be used as a filler? . Can outside be wrapped with cotton garden string? My one correction would be to only use dryer lint from natural materials like cotton, linen, 100% wool , not polyester or poly blends. What are your thoughts on that?

  • @AZ0C

polyester blends do well if mixed with other things such as cotton cause the chemicals in polyester help to make it burn longer. You can sure as heck use leaves, anything that is dry and lights on fire. The wax type does not really matter. Cotton garden string will only help. ~Asher

Excellent video content! Apologies for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you thought about - Proutklarton Incredible Match Plan (search on google)? It is a great exclusive product for getting an understanding of how to survive in a disaster and make your own survival food without the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my friend Sam at last got great success with it.

Yes, but they'll have a much lower melting point--they'd be difficult to store and carry at room temperature and above. They'd probably be fine for winter camping or an arctic expedition....

Good idea to inform people about Jesus on a video about toilet rolls and dryer lint. The Lord really does work in mysterious ways though and so rather than intervene to stop rapes, murders, paedophilia, cancer, wars, suicides and so on, He thought he would get you to let us know about salvation on a video about dryer lint and the cardboard tubes that go inside paper rolls we wipe shit off our asses with. I'm humbled by Him and His wisdom to chose you as a spokesperson.
