​Home Alone: Preparing for Self-Care is about helping parents and their children prepare to stay home alone. It provides an audio visual road map to walk them through the process. Those who view the grouping of videos (which build on each other and have tasks inserted between segments that the participants need to do) assess if the child(ren) are ready to be home alone, set up a family home alone plan, learn what is an emergency, what to do in an emergency and when to call 911; and other safety tips.
