This is by far the deepest most customizable wrestling game of all time. So much so I think it puts many ppl off, but i will always recommend this game as the best wrestling game out now.

This is such a fanboy review. Truth be told fire pro wrestling has more customizing features than 2k . But is slower and not as good as smackdown vs raw games, here comes the pain or no mercy. Any time you have to plead with the viewers to endure a long complicated control system than you have a system that is to ineffective . When you say watching is more fun then playing at any put then that is more of a reflection of a defective game. Because some times random scenarios may be interesting to see how the computer plays it out but overall playing the game should be better than watching the computer simulate a match

Looks great but I’ve heard the controls are extremely complicated to learn.

The controls aren't complicated at all. Basically the usual "direction+action button" depending on the Body part you're closest to. The difficult part is getting the timing right but that shouldn't take you more than an hour at most to get a feel for. Assuming you haven't gotten the game already and know all this by now anyway.

Brilliant review. So much love for this game. I’m currently waiting for retro mania wrestling so this game is wetting my appetite.

Man I had a fireproof game on ps2 back in the day and gameboy advance. I suck at these but I need to buy this off psn . Have you seen the new game coming called Retromania? It's on xbox and switch but coming soon to ps4.

The AEW wrestling game is likely going to be awesome when that comes out, likely in 2022. Considering you like the General Manager mode, AEW are also going to release a GM Mode game that will be a mobile game. That should be available within months. As for Fire Pro? I don't mind it, but I'd prefer it to be 3D and modern style.

​@@Guy-mx4fb it is fucking great. The timed based gameplay is so fun imo. When wrestlers get close enough they lock in a graple they will do a animation. When their feet hit the ground (or their hands hit the oponents shoulder) you hit a combination of a direction and a button. Start with light moves, then go for medium and then heavy as the match goes. There are a lot more to it, but the tutorial will get you started.

Well the WWE has lost so much. Their shows are pathetically inept, and now the games that USED to be fun and interactive but now like the shows, their games are crap! After the WWE bought everyone, WCW, ECW they felt they were "immortal". They were the only "game" in town. So their product went to crap! Raw was War now it's a🚽🧻🪠 CRAPPER! Smackdown used to be the Rock's show? Now it's the SHITSHOW! NXT? WTF IS THAT? More crap! That's what!

No amount of customization makes up for these horrendous graphics, gameplay and 10 fps.
