NARRATIVE - OUT NOW!
"Sometimes it's not about fitting in or belonging. Sometimes one must find themselves in themselves."
Where did we go? How could we stray so far away? Delusional, tell me that we’re not the ones to blame. I suggest you walk this lonely road to find redemption and become a hero. Resolution, don’t watch the eyes. Never mind the words.
A million miles away, it seems that I don’t belong in this place. Is there another way? I find myself closer to a satellite.
Begin drifting, mind body and soul become one. Defy the laws of gravity. Stare at the sun, challenging all reality. The glass door to my soul is shattering. The bridges to my past are collapsing. I feel new energy. This is my quickening. Transcending to a new dimension.
A million miles away, it seems that I don’t belong in this place. Is there another way? I find myself closer to a satellite.
Float away.

Also as a black guy I know race shouldn't matter but i must confess its does my heart well seeing more black guys explore this genre of music instead of the status quo rapper or R&B or Neo Soul feel like a ton of black folks be in a box... But I say this because I have always been a rock fan but nice to see more representation in a genre i love

I always felt pretty alone in my love for rock music growing up in ghetto parts of Chicago. Performed a rock song for a school concert show when I was in high school and was surprised by how many people liked the song. A couple white people were there, but it was primarily Hispanics and black people. I'm fairly convinced that more people would enjoy the genre if they didn't just settle for what they find on the radio. Gotta experiment more, broaden your horizons.

You should check out Howard Jones (Killswitch Engage, Devil You Know, Light the Torch) and Tosin Abasi (Animals as Leaders) if you haven't. Also, if you're into Deathcore (warning: not for everyone), Adam Jones of Oceano is really good.

Idk man, I should be 100% over this but I love love LOVE seeing black lead singers. In the city where I'm from, it feels like me and my sister are the only black people that listen to rock music. So when I see a black lead singer/band member, it just makes me feel a little less alone.

Black dudes in the rock/metal genre make me happier because life should be about coming together with similar interests and acceptance of our differences. Metal music has brought people together based on the interests and always accepted the differences regardless of race, color, sex or creed. Just a bunch of people who can't fully express ourselves without music. Today's society has utilized those differences as ways to separate us further from one another to define our understanding of one another as an intangible, distant concept. Fire Scot Linehan.

If your a misfit, freak, don't fit the societal mold of so called perfection, or semi normal (Whatever that is) metal head's are Always down with who you are no matter what you are. We're always accepting and have the mindset of "The more the merrier" and "There's strength in numbers." Thank the Metal God's because there's nothing worse than an entitled pretentious snob you have to deal with in a crowd. I've never had a bad experience at a metal show. I've always had an Epic time and made great friends who I run into at other shows no matter the distance. I wouldn't trade the meet ups and humorous memories for anything. This song seems to be about someone who feels unnatural to his surroundings and a feeling of not belonging, but the power in flipping that into a trait that makes you a unique individual, can be extremely uplifting, as well as embolden the individual to explore and cherish their individuality further.

Where did we go? How could we stray so far away? Delusional, tell me that we're not the ones to blame I suggest you walk this lonely road to find redemption and become a hero Resolution, don't watch the eyes Never mind the words A million miles away, it seems that I don't belong in this place. Is there another way? I find myself closer to a satellite Begin drifting, Defy the laws of gravity Stare at the sun, challenging all reality The glass door to my soul is shattering The bridges to my past are collapsing I feel new energy This is my quickening Transcending to a new dimension A million miles away, it seems that I don't belong in this place Is there another way? I find myself closer to a satellite Float away It seems that I don't belong in this place A million miles away, it seems that I don't belong in this place Is there another way? I find myself closer to a satellite A million miles away, it seems that I don't belong in this place Is there another way? I find myself closer to a satellite

While the specimen is very nice, it's actually metaphorically depicting a spiritual practice called DNA activation. Crystals are living specimens, a record. We remember who we are using the crystal as a tool to "open source data". It's what I do for a living. Please no nasty response. I know you don't like what I do. But I don't come into your place of work and tell you how to do your job. This is a very spiritual, connected band who are giving the audience heavy details about how to open your third eye and remember who you are spiritually. We are not remnants. We are remainders. We are the same as crystalline structures, the composition of which can be manipulated if the tune is right... '-)

Years later, they've circled back around and the lyrics hold so much more relevance than they did back then. It brings me to tears every time the chorus hits-truly inspirational.

To this day one of the best songs I've ever heard. Still hoping this band gets big one day

This is seriously one of my new favorite songs. The lyrics are fantastic, and the vocalist has amazing vocals. I'm happy to call myself a new fan.
