Beware First Alert. The professional fire extinguisher refill service in my town explained to me that the First Alert "Pro10" is only _technically_ refillable. The unit is made so that opening it breaks an inner seal. To refill it, the service shop has to buy a new replacement seal which makes the cost of the refill higher than the cost of buying a new fire extinguisher. These things are really made to become trash after one squirt. The same service professional listed many brands that are inexpensive to refill properly. I use Amerex and Kidde.

Is it hard to break the white safety seals cause my parents r older and they have carpal tunnel so I worry if they won’t have the strength to break it. There’s no small kids around so I might just take it off all together

I would not recommend a first alert fire extinguisher but if you did pull the pin out you could stick it back in concerning I'd if the pin falls out and lever are squeezed it a problem

Can this help in a battery fire? I have one in my LRY but imagine itll only be able to help an ICE vehicle. 😅

I don't think your asking the right question here the question should be the a,battery fire gives off extremely toxic fume how do I fight it and not corrode my lungs in the process???
