The best part is during the paralogue with Balthus, Hilda, and Holst, Hilda at one point gets surrounded by enemies who want to take her hostage and Holst goes like: "Hilda! I'll sav- Oh wait never mind. That is hardly enough."

Canonically Edelgard respects the shit out of Holst and wouldnt even let Hubert snark, so I doubt she's surprised.

Spoilers on Claude's identity below! It's worth remembering that Claude, growing up in Almyra, would have heard all kinds of stories about the terrifying family on the other side of the border that so many generals would test themselves and their armies against. Being skeptical by nature, he'd likely dismissed a lot of those as exaggerations, stories that grew in the telling. Here, he is realising that _they were not exaggerating one bit._

Considering Holst not so subtly suggests Claude marry Hilda, I doubt he’d ignore such a suggestion after this.

This is probably thw kind of shock you get from seeing laziest student in class get 100% on the test everybody else failed, but times a million, no wonder Hilda avoids work, she's never actually needed it

I'd say Holst and Hilda, Hilda is always shown to be a monster in the battlefield almost effortlessly, and Holst can keep up with Count Bergliez despite being crestless. Caspar is strong, but I don't think he would be able to stop a hit from Dimitri like Hilda did.
