@@BigKlingy Hmm, not really. "I swore to protect Micaiah, even if it means fighting Commander Ike" and "I owe Commander Ike my life, I want to be just like him" are his only lines about Ike. But he does also say "I may not have any special powers, but I've been told I have a fire inside", so he does also have a line about not being very strong.

@@davidmathews9284Bane is dumb and annoying, they should have given whispers a different unique skill, it doesn’t have to be lethality, but give it the option to kill. Something with similar effects to the marksman deadeye skill would be perfect for them.

The silence, shortly followed by Oliver's theme made me laugh so much.

I guess it's.... up to interpretation. When I was younger I always thought it was funny to imagine him actually yelling "you're going to... BLAAAAAARGH!" I kind of want to see what they was in Japanese, in case that version was any clearer.

@@BigKlingy Raison was a badass too, but he was rised by hawks so it's kind of expected, and Liane was the sassy one so Rafiel being badass too was unexpected

I do not think that either Micaiah or Sanaki ever achknowledge that Sephiran is their many times great grandfather directly. I think it would end up being quite funny if one of them called him Grandpa and he ended up quite flustered. For very minor characters in the grand scheme of things Astrid and especially Haar have a good amount of boss conversations during Endgame. Which is surprising as I would assume that Boss Conversations would overall focused on more important characters but they took the time to give some minor characters some which is appreciated.

GypsySprite Haar is very good but at the end of the day his story presence is quite minor in the grand scheme of things, better than about half the cast but still I tend to not expect characters who are not important to the plot to get that many boss conversations hence why Haar having so many surprised me a bit

Astrid and Haar mostly get them due to having connections to Begnion. But with how many good boss conversations they gave Haar, it definitely feels like they knew how good he'd be.

THIS! This is why I love the Tellius series. So much lore. Novels worth of text. Radiant Dawn IMO is the most ambitious game in the series.

I quite like how Sephiran responds to Leanne in the ancient tongue. For some reason, it just feels like… some form of respect to her, despite her being an enemy. Then again, he has a degree of respect for most of the characters. …Only most.

Say what you will about this game's writing, but I think it's got the best boss conversations in the series. I LOVE how they incorporate most people even slightly linked to Begnion in these dialogues. I really wish the later games would do this. You don't even need gigantic speeches per character: look how short Tanith's conversation is here and it's still really characterful for her.

BigKlingy I know right?! I really wish they had the “awakening support” mechanic so to speak. Being able to see the A support or even C/B support videos would’ve been a masterful way to display all these supports. Plus the dialogue could’ve used the “True Story” JPN Maniac treatment.

Hearing that this man had something to do with the death of Jill's father set me off as much as her. She's been my favorite character of the Tellius Series, and it broke my heart seeing her reduced to such pure rage against the likes of Ashnard and Sephiran...

I like how the lazy haar is one of the only ones to really make sephiran question the path he chose. He instantly knows the senators are what turned sephiran into the man he became.

I wish modern FE games had this many boss conversations. There's still some good ones, but it's usually only about 5 per major boss and that's if you're lucky.

@@BurningFlamesofDivineDragon I still can't believe they have several to Astrid, someone it'd be easy to dismiss as a throwaway filler unit. But her backstory is tied very closely to a lot of high-up figures in Begnion, and they remembered that.

9:37 Considering he likely has to deal with Naesala A LOT (who is pretty much the Loki to Tibarn's Thor), I am not surprised. 10:23 I honestly think that this is a pretty decent line.

Soren should have had a Fight Conversation with Sephiran. Being the one to erase Ike's traumatizing memories along with memories of Soren and (likely) being the only person to know Soren is the true son of Ashnard before Pelleas and Almedha figured it out. Soren: ... Sephiran: Hello child, you, the staff officer and the famed tactician of the Greil Mercenaries. Have you remembered your birthright? Have you remembered your days as a young boy? Soren: I care not for either. I will defeat you so that this may finally be over. Sephiran: So you really do not know. Well. Have at you!

Aaaaand once again, Oliver just had to do it........

Man, I hope three house has plenty of these boss quotes when it comes out. Also I've been playing n sane trilogy so I can share thoughts when you play crash 1 and 3, but I got curious about why Clash of Titans gets alot of a flak. I saw Tiny boss evolution and when I saw CoT Tiny...... ugh. I hope our descendants NEVER have to witness such an eldritch abomination.

I think the last Crash game I played was Tag Team Racing, which I didn't like very much, so I skipped Titans and Mind Over Mutant. It was probably a good thing I did. At least with Spyro, the rebooted games were explicit set in an alternate continuity so you didn't have to worry about their differences in character design and elements from the classic games. Crash bounced between multiple different companies after Naughty Dog gave the rights away, which resulted in major inconsistencies between the games. N Sane Trilogy and Nitro Fueled seem to be doing a good job of tying together the best parts of everything, though.

1:51 I still really like what happens with Sanaki: their relationship is such that NEITHER will attack (Brom and Meg is one of the only other combinations to do this). I think magic cards still work, but why would you do that? 4:01 While Ashnard was a horrible person, Pelleas had spent most of his life believing he was the long-lost heir to the throne and being groomed for that purpose, only to find out it was all a lie intended to spark a war. I'd say being used like that is definitely reason to snap. 6:39 It's like how PQ Akihiko occasionally has flashes of his P3 self. 8:05 That's my headcanon too. 8:13 They're both pronounced the exact same way, I don't see why people should get mad. 12:41 I also love how he uses his presence as confirmation that Tellius is doomed and everyone should just die.

Also, Pelleas only found out about his supposed lineage only a few days (at best) before the events of RD. 8:13 I can't tell if you're talking about Hatari/Hatary or Kyza/Kysha. If it's the former, then, at least for me, it's because I really like the use of proper spelling and terminalogy (the only real exception being Dheginsea/Deghinsea), so when someone or something (i.e. a video game) spells something incorrectly or uses incorrect terminalogy, I get a bit peeved, and if it's the latter, then how does a z make a "sh" sound?

8:13 The former. I still don't see the first as a big deal because it's pronounced exactly the same (though that makes me wonder why the EU version changed it to begin with) For the second, I prefer Kysha because that's what he was called in ALL versions of Path of Radiance, in Ranulf's supports.

@@BigKlingy Some people are real sticklers for spelling. Like me. As for why it's different in the PAL version, after doing a bit of research, my guess is because there is an Icelandic rock band named Hatari, and because Iceland is part of the PAL region, they probably changed it so that they wouldn't get sued, and to make things easier on themselves, they made the change in all regions. Yes, but you do realize that they could have just relocalized Kysha as Kyza, and when they were doing the PAL translation, they weren't aware of the change, or thought it was a typo they were "fixing".

That last paragraph... doesn't make any sense. It was spelled Kysha in Path of Radiance. Why would they "re-localize" a name they already did in a previous game? Clearly what happened was the US script writers forgot/didn't know the name appeared in Path of Radiance. Which is understandable since he never physically appeared in PoR. (The Deghinsea > Dheginsea one is less excusable) So the PAL version was a correction. And seeing as the PAL version corrected Deghinsea and "Heron Queen Lilia" (changed to Princess, which is what it said in Japanese), I'm inclined to trust that version.

Huh. I wonder why Reyson is the only one of the 3 to not notice who Sephiran was. Rafiel sensed something was up, Leanne somehow knew, yet not Reyson? Even Tibarn noticed something was up, lol. Sephiran's convo with Ike made me feel bad for Soren then got me thinking. Sephiran's meddling hurt Soren but I can see the argument that it hurt Ike by making him emotionally repressed. I'd be super curious to see a what if Sephiran didn't suppress Ike's memories.

He would've grown up traumatized because he literally watched his dad killing a whole village and his mother, probably wouldn't have able to bond with dad over this, and probably wouldn't even learn his swordplay.

Imagine if Rhea were to act like Lehran here in CF. How would she have been recieved by the fans? And on the opposite side, how would Lehran have been seen had he acted like Rhea in CF? What do you think?

It's not exactly a fair comparison since Rhea in CF was insane. Lehran is insane too, but more in a depressed way than a violent one. I'm not the best person to ask about this though since I'm not a fan of CF Rhea, or the CF route in general. While it makes sense with her backstory, I still feel like it was an abrupt 180 to her character in order to make Edelgard look better by comparison.

@@BigKlingy Yeah she lashed more out and reacted more aggressively than he did, but many of their characteristics are similar. Both are victims of Genocide, both covered up events in history, lief about said history with bad consequences, both saved an Mercenary, have an kind-hearted aura, are masters of the Arcane, deeply religious but very much grieve the loss of thier kin. I feel like that had she acted more like Lehran she would be better relieved by the fans , because people tend to react better to more polite villians than violent ones. If Lehran were to be as aggressive as CF Rhea, hd would be more scary and treated maybe as more threatening as an villian than the Immaculate one. I always Imagined in an alternative reality where Lehran is not only very wrathful, but also very condescending towards Ike's plight and views him as ungrateful traitor kinda like CF Rhea to Byleth. Regarding CF, I share you sentiments, they could have made it better and oriented more towards RD than GOTHW. Also I wish an battle between Dheginsea vs Rhea.

Micaiah is not only Sanaki's sister, but she is also the granddaughter of Misaha, the last apostle before Sanaki took the throne. All apostles of Begnion are branded with heron blood and this goes all the way back to Altina, who married and started the baby chain with Lehran (aka, Sephiran). In other words, Micaiah is Lehran's great granddaughter in all senses of the relationship. Zelgius was thinking of Sanaki when he said that and the connection is very visible.

Everyone on the comments not liking Sothe forced into the tower. But remember when he carried part 1?? 🙄

So Sephiran is the reason why Naesala is with Sanaki?

Seems like it. As much as he wanted the Senators to escalate the war, he drew the line at Sanaki being imprisoned and had to intervene there.

I love how Sephiram shows a little empathy and regret with each character... But with Oliver he's back at being an insane piece of crap, because Oliver is worse lmao.

So as I said yesterday, I started playing Persona 5 with my friends. Highlights of the first few days: -The reaction to the difficulty select screen was "Wow. They suck". -We named Joker Segata Dink (after memes we're all fans of)... but not before fooling around with the name selection for a bit, as doing that in-context is hilarious. (The best one was 2÷4=1/2 uwu.) -Like Super Paper Mario, we gave characters voices. Sojiro is now Colonial Campbell from Metal Gear, which is hilarious since he's called "Boss". -Everyone loves Ryuji. -We gave Kamoshida the worst voice EVER: It's themed after a bad video about Reshiram that became a meme in my friend's household, and now I hate Kamoshida even MORE than I already did. -Morgana's totally not a cat. TL;DR: It's going well.

The only essence of good character development Astrid had in this game was in this convo. Radiant Dawn ruined her
