This is the exact same for me my friend! I played this back in 2016 when I was like 12, and honestly I don't care what anyone says, but I absolutely loved Fates. I didn't realise people disliked it, I never knew it; when I saw Abdallahsmash play the game, I just assumed it was super beloved. Birthright is one of my favourite games of all time. Maybe that's nostalgia getting in the way, but honestly I just think the game is fantastic and I absolutely love the characters, tone, feel, world and especially the music of the games!

I played Fates again after 6 years ago and I can safely say what was the story, the characters and main characters, freaking Corrin and game as a whole, was MUCH worse than I remembered. Idk how anyone can play all fire emblem games or start with awakening and say this was the best 10/10.

@@sonicboom126 the Reason for fate's sloppy story, is because the writers where trying to achieve too much with not enough time. Intelligents Systems had an idea for Fate to have three stories to appeal to everyone, but they realized that they didn't have enough writers. So they hired an outside writer, Shin Kibayashi was that writer. Nintendo wanted Shin to write the outline for each pathway, what happened instead is that Shin wrote 500 pages for each pathway. Nintendo knew this was too long so they cut the story into pieces without the writers permission and the fact the Nintendo demanded Fates come on the Fire Emblem Anniversary only made things worse. Which resulted in this hilariously mess of a story. The good news this that there is a manga based on Fates that is a little better. Its called Fire Emblem If: the Crown of Niberlung.

@@cultreader9751 IMO even old school Fire Emblem fell into anime tropes, it's just that it was more like 80s or 90s anime. Since Awakening it feels more like modern day anime and that influence is more pronounced than it ever was before.

I absolutely adore Fates, especially the soundtrack. Oh my god the soundtrack is absolutely godtier. I get the complaints about the story being awful, but even so I put hundreds of hours into the game and any track from the soundtrack can hit me like a damn truck with nostalgia. It was my first Fire Emblem game, and I’m really glad it got me into the series.

I can say the same. I put over 500h on it lmao The class system was really good and fun to experiment for skillsets. And yeah the ost is also very good. A shame that the game is only "trash" for not being an elitist game, at least conquest had great gameplay and more people should give it a chance

YES! I am so damn happy someone feels the same way, I wholeheartedly agree with you my friend. I don't care what anyone says, I absolutely loved Fates too. Birthright is one of my favourite games of all time. Maybe that's nostalgia getting in the way, but honestly I just think the game is fantastic and I absolutely love the characters, tone, feel, world and especially the music of the games. The soundtrack is absolutely masterful, my favourite FE soundtrack for sure. Full of emotion, epics and dramatic moments that really get me either sobbing, dancing or reflecting :) Thank you for this comment :)

I really enjoyed this. Similarly, I feel the same about Revelation, glad to see someone else actually enjoys it too, since it seems so rare. I'd have to agree on the echo chamber part too, just because it isn't the same game as something from 15 years ago, it isn't inherently bad either!

@@morgisugly Fates was written by someone that had no experience with writing video games what so ever. The reason is that the story was so big that Intelligent Systems didn't have enough writers.

I remember hyping this up in the whole of 8th grade and I absolutely loved it when it came out when I was in middle school. I replayed all routes a few years later in college and I saw a LOT of issues with it especially in comparison to 3 Houses but it still holds a place in my heart of being the highlight of 8th grade

Me and the homies hyped up this joint a lot back then too. Not a perfect game but it’s still a fun experience now.

Awesome video and makes me feel like it's ok for me to love fates lol. I was always so ashamed...but the sheer amount of customization and characters all with stories of their own makes me love it

This video was very well done in my opinion. Fates was my first Fire Emblem game and I loved every second of it. Personally I think people give this game far too much crap but as for me it’s a great game. As for Revelation people say it shouldn’t have been a Golden Route where everyone lives but after tearing apart Nohr in Birthright, seeing Elise and Xander die, and crushing Hoshido in Conquest where Ryoma basically passes the torch onto Corrin before dying, and then Takumi being possessed by Anankos then needing to set his spirit free by destroying his body, all that stuff hurts and you want the best for all of these characters that you had to kill. With Revelation that happens and they all live happily ever after and that final cutscene with the Hoshidan and Nohrian Royals is so beautiful. Birthright and Conquest have you ask questions like “Why is did Garon feel happy to feel the sweet release of death?” or “How did Takumi get possessed?” along with more questions. Revelation answers them and that final battle against Anankos in space with the Omega Yato is so cool. Anyway yeah. I really enjoyed this video and can’t wait to see more from you in the future.

I mean story and world building was always one of my favorite parts of FE, so the fact that Fates had none killed it for me. I liked it in middle school but even then I doubted the replayability, which later became true when the only way I could stomach doing so was giving Corrin a silly name and laughing about it.

Fates actually came out on my 14th birthday, I was super stoked. My mom and sister tried to get the collectors edition but scalpers ruined that dream, so I got Conquest instead. Suffice to say I still haven't fully recovered

Most of Revelation's infamy comes from Lunatic mode. The abundance of massively bulky enemies and progress halting Dragon Veins practically force to you use the Royals to keep the game at a tolerable pace. For example, Hana, Subaki and Rinkah have trouble dealing more than 0 damage to enemies in their join chapter.

This video definitely helped clarify the differences between the games. Ever since the news of 3DS/WiiU Eshop closing I've been wondering which games to get before it closes

this video is quite good, I gotta say. despite not really being into FE, it really caught my attention and really got me interested. might even try Three Houses now 🤔🤔

that was only in the english dub. They did it because in japanese elise is between 11 and 13 at best. So the Enlgish dub added a new line to make it less awkward that you can marry her.

My main and only complain with Conquest, Birthright, and Revelations are the story, but aside from that, this is the game where I've had the most fun with a fire emblem game: the mechanics, the customization, the music, the characters, the maps, all of it! Except, of course, for the story... And i think that's where the people concentrate when they say that Fates as a whole is bad, which is obviously unfair. Great video man!

even gameplay wise birthright and especially revelations have awful maps and for revelations awful mechanics, for birthright a lack of mechanics. Difficulty wise Birthright is extremely easy and boring even on lunatic+, there is like no challenge, meanwhile revelations challenge consists of enemies with tons of hp stats or shoving a million units in your face. Conquest is the only one with an actual fair and enjoyable challenge and amazing maps with great mechanics and arguably the best cast of characters, although it has the worst story of the three, which is like saying that this dumpster smells worse than the other two.

awakening and fates are so close to my heart. i need to replay them.

I haven't played any of fates since it came out, and it was a second Fire Emblem after awakening, so I can't say personally if the game holds up, but Lost In Thoughts All Alone still slaps. Hard.

Fire emblem 7 is probably the one I have enjoyed the most. It just had so much charm to it.

I haven’t touched Fates in years, but I remember being 12 and being so excited with my friends. I saved up for months for the Collector’s Edition, but sadly it was sold out everywhere. The GameStop lady was nice enough to give me the pre-order keychains though.

i don’t care what anyone says fire emblem fates will always be my favorite game in the series.

@@ppbb5881 Did it? Fire Emblem is doing fine at the moment. Three Houses is the best selling Fire Emblem game to date, and Fates was received with critical acclaim upon release. It really hasn't "killed a beloved series". It's not done much to harm Fire Emblem at all if you look at the facts.

Yeah uh I remember buying all 3 stories and just taking a step back after that. I think I’ll come back to it someday, though.

I remember when my friend showed me the fe series right after awakening released and thinking that it was cool. A few weeks later I started playing through 7 and 8. I finished 7 right before before fates released an was playing through awakening. That Christmas I got my hands on birthright and loved it... except for the story. Later I played conquest and revelations and again I loved them both. What really made me fall in love with the game was the gameplay and the for the characters even though they were hit or miss with me. I love these games... but they don't love me because I have worse luck then Arthur.

I didn't get fates until 3 years ago I was in high school on my last year when it was coming out close to my birthday and after beating it I really enjoyed it I do agree the story is bad but I usually don't care about storys in video games I enjoy birthright it is easy to beat well it depends what difficulty you pick but I do love the cast of birthright Conquest I do had a hard time with that path but I like conquest it was challenge and revelation I haven't beat it yet but honestly I don't like it I mean I did enjoy it but it my least favorite so my opinion is Fates is a good game I can understand the hate but tbh I love this game and I so glad I got the chance to play it also the music in this game is amazing and it looks so good for 3ds game I would recommend anyone if they haven't played this game

Really agreed with you on Revelation and ur conclusion. I played through fates last summer and MAN was it FUN!!! I totally agree that people think this game is way worse than it really is and they *want* it to be bad. Revelations may have been a little gimmicky but having the sheer number of characters in ur bench is so fun that you can't really hate it. All that said great video!

Played fates when I was little and I loved it. No clue it was so hated on

Each route has its uses imo. Birthright despite being all rout or boss maps had fun experimental classes. Conquest had interesting map objectives and restricted grinding kept you from trivializing the game by over leveling everyone. Revelations made for a way to get skills on units you couldn't normally get and making cool castles. TL;DR: Birthright: New Classes Conquest: Neat maps Revelations: Breeding units

Even at the time, I thought revelations was really sloppy. They just would shoehorn in like 7 units per map so you could get every unit and it just felt like the story should've been way more thought out considering it was kinda the "definitive edition" but I think it might be worth giving it another shot since its been way too long since I've replayed. I don't have birthright anymore so idk if should rebuy it to see if it's as mediocre as everyone says but I'm excited to replay conquest and revelations again after this video

I still love Fates nowdays, Revelation was my 1st route to complete, and one of my favorite things was doing the "Metal Gear" map as intended, and I only used Corrin and Sakura for that map to make it way much easier (maybe in a future I'll try it with full party to have the real intended difficulty), but still I understand how Revelation was underwelming due to the "Puzzle" nature of the maps overestaying their welcome, but Anankos as final boss was great, Conquest I agree all it's cons and pros, Birthright is pretty much the meme of the routes as the one that "doesn't exist", but I liked it for what it is anyway.

Anyone else think that the combat in this game is awesome? It has such cool classes, the bigger weapon triangle, weapon perks and downfalls, guard and attack stance It’s all so cool, I hope we get a game with gameplay like it again soon

I’m in a similar boat to where you were when this video was posted, pretty casual FE fan with just a couple games under my belt. As someone in that position, I enjoyed this look at it. I think one thing I do disagree on is the idea that it would be disingenuous to look at them all as one game. I think that the two games were marketed as two sides of one experience and should be treated as such. I imagine most folks who played one felt inclined to play the other. The failings of each bring the complete Fates experience down and the converse is true.

I'm glad I played Awakening before this. If I played fates, I probably wouldn't be into the series.

My favorite parts about Fates is that the bigger villains are cartoonishly evil. It kind of sucks that they lack depth (which is a big problem with Fates, we don’t really know many bigger details about the setting other than Hoshido and Nohr + a few other places) For example, do we know *why* Iago hates Corrin so viciously other than because Garon wants him to? No. (not counting the manga) But is he very hammy and entertaining to watch? Yes, yes he is.

Fates was probably my least favourite entry in the series. Conquest just had way too may gimmicks and artificial difficulty. The Characters just felt way too forced with the absurd roster in revaluation, still haven't beaten revaluation after all these years. I actually preferred birthright because it's had the better story and enjoyed the level of character customization similar to Sacred Stones. Games like thracia766 had some gimmicks and difficulty but were way more enjoyable

I remember that chokepoint/reinforcement battle in Conquest. Pretty sure its the reason for at least a few white hairs I have now.

if birthrights is somebody else by The 1995, then conquest is love if we made it- to this day, I still haven't played revelations and have both tried to avoid and forgotten spoilers, so I can't say much on that, but birthrights was my first fire emblem game. And, my memory of thinking about it is honestly warmth, I really liked it. And I remember conquest being hard, grimmer, and satisfying. And, atm, I haven't played in years but I have more of an urge to pick up conquest more than birthrights. And you described how conquest introduces elements to fates that birthrights (and revelations) did not. Anyways, mostly fueled by nostalgia, I do like fates. It gave a littler me everything I've ever wanted. But even littler me was confused as to why I could have an S support with Takumi.

Fates is a really mixed bag for me. It's a shame because it's not like everything is mediocre - it does some things extremely well and other things extremely poorly. I loved the soundtrack, as all the soundtracks for Fire Emblem games have been amazing since Path of Radiance, and the gba games have had their great songs too. The visual character designs are really great too. I also like most of the mechanics, although dual strikes makes calculating enemy phase really difficult for me - something I don't have an issue with in the other games. The biggest problem with Fates is the writing. The main story is pretty awful, and most of the support conversations are simply jokes or actually undermine various characters in the game - just look at videos analyzing how Xander was completely undermined through his supports. Then you have characters like Peri, Camilla and others that are frankly bizarre. The story in the actual game is also extremely poor. Most of the missions feel like misunderstandings or filler - the game's pacing is awful. I feel like Nohr being "evil" ruined the choice at the beginning. It would have been far better to create 2 factions with reasonable motivations rather than one being "good" and the other being "evil". It honestly makes joining Nohr feeling completely stupid. How could anyone side with Garon after what he did? And we seriously have to kill tons of Hoshidans and seize the Hoshidan throne to beat Garon? This is so stupid. Three Houses did this so much better. Lastly, Corrin is a Mary Sue. I find it very difficult for a person to be well-adjusted and competent in leading an army when they were locked up in a fortress their entire lives. This makes zero sense. They should have massive psychological issues, but they are perfect and the entire game revolves around them and how great they are. I also really don't like the emphasis on the children mechanics, grinding, etc. Not only is the mechanic stupid, it also completely destroys the point of a Fire Emblem game. Fire Emblem is all about having a finite set of resources and allocating them properly in a playthrough. This creates lots of interesting decisions. Grinding and the child mechanics completely ruins that. I get that casuals like this, but they are also cheating themselves out of a more fulfilling experience. While Sacred Stones and Birthright were fairly optional when it came to grinding, I feel like with Revelation it was mandatory, as characters often joined at low levels and with worst bases than their birthright or conquest routes, making them completely unusable in an LTC-style of run or just a reasonable no-grind playthrough. The balance was just completely off, as Corrin was like the only usable unit until you got Camilla. Bloody stupid.

I think Nohr being evil isn't necessarily(is that a word?) a bad thing. You know, you could have something like Corrin, being sheltered in a forteress, believes what Nohr is doing is for the greater good. But then, as time goes on, realizing that Nohr is evil, they try to limit casualties/not killing everyone. Although something Conquest does is when Corrin doesn't kill anyone but gameplay wise kills all units. Maybe something like realizing their ideals won't change anything, and go to the "dark" side, and using violence to overthrow Garon/end the conflict. You know, there's a lot to do on Corrin and their ideals, fighting their siblings, maybe how the soldiers and civilians ard treated... A wasted opportunity.

Hm not sure about Mary Sue. Being a sheltered noble with top education could in theory give someone enough tools to command and army, especially given how they are training with Xander and Leo. But I do agree that everyone in the game worships Corrin too much. It just gets annoying at some point when Corrin agonizes about their actions and then other characters just sweep it under the rug.

@@saltyluigi4011 From what I remember (been a while so I might be wrong) I think that Nohr was supposed to be the underdogs, running low on resources and living in poor lands while the Hoshidians lived in a lap of luxury because of their resources. So people of Nohr would support the war efforts just to improve their own living situation even if it came at the price of Hoshidians dying. I do think Corrin is a missed opportunity. If they were written as them following this idea of improving live of their people but then realized that the cost is too great and Hoshidians are also people, not just people who hog all the resources, that would be pretty great. Then conspired to kill Garon to end the bloodshed and felt guilty over killing their own father would be some good stuff. Sadly what we have is Corrin being immediately against Garon to the point they almost get themselves executed more than once and they still follow Garon's commands to receive his approval. It's just icky. At least in Sacred Stones, Selene was torn over following orders of her beloved emperor and if she should trust him blindly.

I remember getting so hyped for this game and actually getting the special edition somehow, I still have the box somewhere hidden away. Even when I first got it I noticed some issues like the writing, the censorship and localization, so on and so forth. Despite the flaws, I am still fond of the game due to the gameplay, some of the characters that I did enjoy like Azura and Leo, the new classes like the new beast classes, and the music being awesome. It’s a hot mess to me, but a fun hot mess that I go back to every once in a while. It also made me appreciate Three Houses more by feeling like what I wanted Fates to be.

I have birthright and revelations and been wanting to get conquest for the longest time but I actually forgot at some point this game existed

Marrying the Nohr royals is basically "Step-Bro, what are you doing!"

When they announced this I was constantly on the watch for the Special Edition. I checked it every hour of every day for a whole week. When I got it, it was the biggest disappointment ever.

I had no clue these games got hate. I actually liked it a lot. Maybe because it was my first game in the franchise but, I loved the OST of the game, specifically “Road Taken.” The characters too were really cool in my opinion. My favorites were Takumi’s attitude, Leo’s sass and Ryoma’s nobility. The story was pretty good in my opinion too, like the part where Takumi jumps off a building in conquest. I wasn’t really into the romance and relationship part of the game either. I remember marrying Kaze just because I thought Midori was cute. Also the amiibo characters like Marth, Ike and Lucina were cool to have on your team. The castle that you live in was really cool and fun to decorate, and I loved testing my own defenses constantly to see if I could beat it, I wouldn’t stop upgrading my defense until I couldn’t beat it so that way anyone online couldn’t win against me and get rewards. I never got revelations because I never had the money to since I was a lot younger but I remember really wanting it. I had played both sides anyways; Conquest on my DS, and Birthright on my friend’ s DS. I ended up liking conquest more, but I didn’t like how when you beat it there’s nothing to do. Anyways here’s my boring and dumb opinions on this game! If you read this far, good job! And thank you for your time! Please recommend me some other fire emblem games. This game got me into the franchise, but I haven’t played anything else yet. I’ve played the mobile game, “FE Heroes,” but I deleted it when they added the battle pass thing. I know the characters from Smash and some others from heroes but I want to get into another game. Please recommend me your favorites! Thank you!

@@iamranch if you’re looking for a modern entry, I highly recommend Three Houses. Awakening is also a great modern entry as well. If you wanna get into classic games I’d recommend starting with some of the GBA titles and then getting into the other games from there. Fire Emblem is definitely a lot more beginner friendly to get into than most think but I wouldn’t jump straight into a game like Thracia 776 or Radiant Dawn straight away.

i was in 6th grade when this game came out, i was into FE for about a year and i had played awakening (still my fave), sacred stones and 7 and i loved this game for some reason lmfao

I've got to say, coming into this franchise with conquest was the weirdest decision. I was an adult and I had never played fire emblem before but I heard it was a hard strategy game so I picked it up. I played through classic hard mode conquest as my first ever fire emblem game. And I beat it without a guide and without losing any characters. It was, perhaps, the most fun i ever had with the franchise and set the mechanical bar so high that I just dont like most of the other games. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Honestly, I haven't played Fates even though I have Conquest. I'm always got put off by what others say. I think I'll give it a try for once. After my 10th run of Awakening lol

honestly i started really eager to get into the game, since the start seemed very promising. about half way through i turned the phoenix mode thing on since i just wanted to rush through it. its not awful necessarily but its not nearly as good as awakening in my opinion

Harvest moon animal parade had petting in 2008, which improved your relationship with the characters, BUT they hid it by having you use a second wii remote to do it. Just let me pet my waifus damnit.

I can see everyone has fates as their 8th grade highlight. Glad to see all of us fates fans are on the same page.

I know this video is old, but the big problem I had with the game is I got Conquest, I think as a present? I didn't really understand what the difference was before I got it, so I didn't have a preference. But once I started playing it, and the decision to split happened, I was more for the Birthright family than the Conquest family, especially with the weird Camilla aspect. Then I got forced into the Conquest family, and realized that the 2 games were more like a Pokemon split of version differences than it was different box arts where you would actually choose your family. I stopped playing, because by the time I knew which route I wanted, it was far too late and I had already received, opened, and played the wrong game.

i'm honestly really glad three houses fixed this problem with the game because i agree. having to make your choice with your wallet is genuinely an egregious design choice.

As many things that were bad, it became my favorite from 13 to 17, i loved awakening and three houses and echoes, but i still liked Fates and Engage a little bit more

Birthright was my first fire emblem partially because I needed my Mum to buy it for me on the E shop and I wouldn’t have been able to deal with the embarrassment of having her look at me like I’m sideways because of Camila but I loved it regardless and then played revelation because I had heard that it was like the best outcome of events and I loved that as well so much so that I have played every game to come out since I’ll always have fond memories of these games even if looking back they weren’t the best. Oh and Felicia is best girl in my opinion and pink hair Kana is just adorable

I must say, my first Fire Emblem game was Birthright. But when I found out that Sacred Stones was installed on my 3DS I played that. And I loved it... The characters, the music, the combat, the crit animations oh my lawd the crit animations. Now to be fair the Eirika route has much to be desired, but the Ephraim route is amazing to me.

I only got Fates when it first came out at the time when i was still in middle school as well cause that was when corrin/kamui were announced for smash bros and i wanted to get into the game and see what it was about (plus it was the only thing at gamestop that i actually wanted to get at the time and figured if i didn't like it id return it) but i ended up loving it and got into the fire emblem franchise afterwards but since then I've never felt as much hype for any of the other games compared to fates lol.

I personally love fire emblem, but find the games increasingly pervy. I'm out for all future installments. Some of us are married

I've played most of fire emblem. I just played fates, and honestly it was one of my favorites. I didn't think the story was weak I actually really enjoyed it honestly and I've only played birthright out of the three options.

Currently replaying fates conquest. My God I never appreciated the map designs. And yea some of these objectives to win are even better than most 3Houses mission objectives lol. I honestly wish the dialogue was better and there were more cinematic scenes buts its not bad!

So I've finished Fire Emblem Fates Birthright last year and have recently played through Revelation. While I really love Fates' mechanics and amount of character customization (classes, stats, inheritance etc.), I don't like the story much and the mapdesign is decent at best and tedious at worst. I'm definitely looking forward into playing Conquest someday, but until then, thanks for sharing your point of view!

So do you think Engage is better than this or worse?

I finally realize that this game only felt good in middle school. Going back and replaying it made me realize that the story was absolutely terrible, especially Revelations, and the emphasis on character shipping was cancerous. However, I will still say this game was what got me into fire emblem, along with Awakening, and I won’t ever forget that.

Fates was what got me into fire emblem because it was only $20 to download 1 of the 3, and once I finished it I immediately bought and played the other 2, now I'm going through and playing the whole series except for the Ike ones because I'm not paying hundreds of dollars per game

I love fates character designs and soundtrack

I played Radiant Dawn when I was a kid, and got back into the series with Awakening in High School. Absolutely loved it and got Conquest because my faorite Awakening characters (Owain, Severa, and Inigio) were returning for Conquest. To this day the depth in Conquest amazes me. I think thats Fates's fundamental problem honestly. The base gameplay mechanics in this entry are fantastic, probably some of the best in the series from what I've played, but only Conquest gives you a proper sandbox to actually use them in. Birthright is far too easy with the game being legitimately easier to beath with just Ryoma and Corrin, and Revelation has just bad unit balance. Conquest has good unit balance and maps and enemy power that are threatening enough to make you think. The game's honestly become quite popular though. Conquest at least. Highly recommend watching this one guy named Zoran to see how in depth Fates's systems really go. Anyways, enjoyed the video a lot, gave me a lot of nostalgia. Cheers!

I just finished birthright and I really liked it. But I asked my dad to buy me Conquest for Christmas, bc I love the 2. Gen Charaktere from there. (don't get me wrong. Kiragi and Selkie are awesome) I just want the child units of Conquest bc they are so cute. Forrest, Siegbert, Velouria, Soleil, Ophelia, Nina.... I want those Charakters so bad

I would argue that they are the same game. I say this because playing through birthrite and conquest and THEN revelations afterwards I think really makes you appreciate the game. As you said it feels refreshing. Seeing the families come together and fighting a literal god dragon is so cool. Seeing the consequences of your actions in the first two, I.E: Characters dying really helps you revelation in a good light, its built upon the other two games and because of said two games I really like revelations and fates as a whole. I really don't see why people hate fates, the writing is basic but I feel like its because some meaning was lost in translation.

I just played and finished Fates Birthright for the first time, two days ago. I can't build an opinion about the game, I do not know how to express my experience, I didn't hate it, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Awakening (game that also, recently played for the first time and enjoy it, had kinda silly supports, but I like it). I cannot agree or disagree with everything that you say in this video, especially about Conquest and Revelation (except for Conquest having best girls, Conquest has Peri and no Reina and Scarlet, that's a downfall/jk). But it did made me feel more intrigued about Revelations, maybe I'll get it someday and try it.

My first game was with Lynn, colm was a beast.

I think a fair complaint about conquest of just how gold starved you are, like there is a mid game stretch were you get almost no gold, and I feel that that adds to the challenge, I understand less gold because weapons can't break, but they also add in weapon fording, a ton of different seals, and a lot of other stuff to spend gold on, I feel like if they gave you a bit more gold it would be better

Although I can definitely see that being an issue on higher difficulties, on normal classic I really didn’t need much beyond regular iron weapons because they’re kinda cracked in this game

@@morgisugly thats fair, for me I like to play on hard for my fire emblem games, and just felt very starved for gold, exp was fine, there was paralogs and also it was clear you should have a main party for battle that you give all exp to, it's just the gold

I absolutly love fates sure the story sucks but it just has this special feel about it it was my first fe game and when i play games like three houses or sacred stones or even awakenig it just doesnt feel the same

Fates was the first fire emblem game I was really exposed to and I liked it I had nothing to compare it to which might be why I liked it so much
