TheChaosblock and it still is lol, nice try reversing but it doesn't make much sense here. Linus has always stayed true to being tech channel and making informative, technical videos. I've never heard of TechSmartt before this video, but I checked out his channel and was thoroughly disappointed. His channel seems more like a general gadget review channel without much of the technical breakdowns that make actual tech channels interesting. I guess thats fine if your into that kind of thing but personally, I expect more than just a general consumer perspective from a channel with close to 3 million subs.

My problem with Keaton isn't that he is successful or that he is not really a tech reviewing channel. Every "tech" channel has their own niche. Some are geared more towards adults, technical crowd (Linus fanbase), unboxing only (Unbox Therapy) and some are geared toward kids/young teenagers (TechSmartt). I give props for Keaton for finding his niche and making a good living for himself. However, in his videos (I cannot speak for his real life) he comes off as an entitled douche who is trying to be funny. In his videos he literally burns money (which is illegal), vapes with an iPhone case (which he clearly does not know how to use), and other stupid acts which would make anyone with half a brain not to like him. The fact that his audience are kids/young teenagers scares me because Keaton is clearly not portraying himself as a good role model. Whereas many of the other KZread tech reviewers, Linus included, are people that kids, teenagers, and young adults should look up to. Just my two cents. I am not someone who ever comments on KZread videos but I just had enough of this guy. Not sure why Linus would do a collaboration with Keaton as they have the exact opposite audience. No wonder there is a huge percentage of dislikes on this video. This is no knock on Linus. However I think his judgement to do a collaboration with Keaton was not sound. I hope my thoughts can be a learning experience for both of them.

Of course it doesn't account for every one person watching. He's just pointing out the general trend and the audience that the video tends to draw. Although, young versus old shouldn't be too much of a focus. There are mature teens and immature adults too, so I guess instead of differentiating the channels' audiences as kids vs adults, it's probably somewhere along the lines of immature vs mature.

There are plenty of smaller-midsize tech channels with teens/young adults that are more mature than Keaton. Like I said in my original comment. I am all for people finding their niche. However, there is something to be said to portraying yourself with some dignity online. I am saying this as a young adult myself. The fact there is a 30% dislike ratio on a Linus video speaks volumes. If you look at Keaton's old videos. He was actually normal as recently as a few years ago. It is quite a transformation.
