Thanks for the upload, go work by the FB too. Ignore the idiots such as Ellie and Matt, they clearly don't understand that no one needs anyone's permission to film or photograph anything which is in public view. And as such neither she nor her family have any rights to ask or demand the video be taken down.

I don't know why you are all saying he didn't have the right to upload it because he most definitely does. There is no legal standing that would say otherwise

This is a really interesting video as its great to see how the Brigade deal with these fires and great kudos to them for the efficient and professional handing on the incident... However, it did look like they were suffering from lack of resources.. the first pump on scene got to work quickly but it seemed ages for the second pump to arrive. That seems typical of austerity in the UK were brigades are being cut back so much that a second pump can take another 10 mins to arrive after the first. Also they could have done with an Aerial Platform either an HP or Turntable, which did not seem to be part of the attendance. I guess knowing how these things are placed the nearest one was quite a distance away. Nevertheless no criticism of the guys at all.. they did a great job.

Peterborough where this was shot has two wholetime stations each with 1 pump,a Volunteer station not retained, plus around the city are three Retained stations(not volunteer) had you thought that maybe the two wholetime pumps may have been already at another incident and the first to arrive is The Peterborough Volunteer fire brigade pump, with the backup pumps coming 5 miles away from a unmanned retained station ? re Aerial it wasn't deemed has a requirement otherwise one would have been called.also we have no austerity re manning apart from the norm that is the same all over the world , getting people to commit to being Retained/volunteer firefighters, or a station ie retained may have a crewing problem during the day where firefighters do shift work or work outside the Town or village .

If you look closely you will see that the firefighters have breathing apparatus on and no we don't do what you firefighters do in America that's why we don't lose as many firefighters as the USA because we are trained to a high standards with lots of health and safety why die for something that's not worth saving.

As a caring relative did you buy & install a Smoke Detector or even contact the local Fire & Rescue to see if they could have it fitted for Free. Local CC also does it for free. But you seem so interested in having a go & making your self look like an ass about someone filming the fire. What caused the fire. ? Power then you not have there place inspected. 2. There fault. I.E Cooking. Then should they be cooking without supervision. How about taking some blame yourself.

British fire services are lacking. Not near what any USA fire department is capable of. They don't even equip their firefighters with SCBAs. Take that back, one firefighter with garden hose is wearing one.

Americans are all to desperate to be heroes. A British firefighter would pull somebody out of a house fire and not even tell his wife when he goes home.. The yanks would want a movie made of them.

i will be polite and not be rude mainly because your knowledge of the british fire service is lacking so will be nice, on each pumper has you call them will be 4 to 6 SCBA packs built into and behind each firefighters seat in the back off the appliance plus spare full bottles , there is a safety procedure to be adhered to ie you have to go via a entry control in pairs where your air supply is noted and on the entry board your time of low air whistle so the controller knows when you should be out if you go past that time a second rescue team of two will follow your route in via the control line or the hoses. So to say British fire services do not even equip their firefighters with SCBA's is totally wrong 100%.we do not just walk into a building on our own or just walk about without anyone in control knowing where you are or how much Air you have and when you should be outside into fresh air.I hope that is helpful and you understand our procedures in respect of SCBA and in the event of a fatality wearing a set when the casualty has been located and removed his SCBA is impounded and taken away for inspection to see if the reason is a defective piece of equipment and records about the set tests ect are checked also the records for the bottle , to see if anyone is at fault and leagally responsible for the Death , and will face Court action before a Judge!

honestly don't get why we need to compare what different practices different countries have, at the end of the day any firefighter in any country's job is firstly to preserve life and secondly property, we all have the same goals but different methods of achieving it, a different method from yours isn't necessarily the wrong one!!

Ellie was my 15 year old who was so understandably upset by this she rashly wrote that comment …..KZread is full of very judgemental people as far as I can see as for the “careing family “ installing fire alarms yes we did we also spent three months renovating it for them before the fire after two family deaths ……take care people our misfortune could be any bodies !!!!!

As much as I sympathise with Ellie's family, filming in public is perfectly legal. I do however questions Techmore morals though, i just hope they having monetized the video, as that would be a real stab in the back.

Wheres the folks like Frits Langerik and Bosse Johansen on this one telling us all how bad North American FF's are compared to European folks? I guess they must be selective on the videos they come to.

Says the yanks that run about roofs cutting holes in them to vent it. The brits put the fire out then vent it. We don't run about a roof risking our life for a house with nobody in it. All yanks are big mouths that just want to be heroes

Ah yes Keith, at least we have hose reels fitted to our appliances where water can be put on a fire in seconds instead of pulling and untangling loads of flat hose. Wet stuff puts out fires, opening up vents before makes fire worse
