This video set off my neighbour's house alarm.

I had one of these, complete crap, broke after 2 and a half years of use, had it ripped out and put a hochiki system in instead

I use the Gent Vigilon system. Used it for over 4 years and it's amazing. Only ever had to change one sounder that was a 2nd hand one due to a detector failure

I had one of these. it was complete and utter crap and it broke after only about 3 years of use

Design fault. I suggest you replace them with the newer apollo intelligent call points.

Luckily my outdoor call point has a better design but still similar and it actually works when I press it.

🔵Finally!

They need a new system or new call points since they don’t comply with fire safety regulations at all. If the building was on fire and either the smoke detectors didn’t activate or they didn’t have any smoke detectors at all, the people who haven’t evacuated wouldn’t have been able to evacuated since the fire would’ve spread too far.

🟢Call the point by main exit!

🔴Still the alarm go off but this sign exits stairway exit but the cool point number 2.

Great video I have this call point and mine does the same sometimes it takes lots of pushes to activate but sometimes it works fine.

sounds like a plan, but this was a new build. Now replaced

I like most Apollo stuff BUT NOT THIS CALL POINT

🟠This company means by the other tested alarms will be in the same exit in number 2.

Apollo have now changed their call point, now it is a black glass dot which makes the glass turn

flush mount my sona or irl butt i think i prefere surface mount to be honest because sealing the unit will cause problems and wont reset which it will be on wheelove's fire alarm fail but he didn't do region one it is international but it does not matter so you should uh send this video or photo to whatafire alarm fail on so he will take a look.

Hi Daniel. We have replaced them. But they are not the only brand that has this problem. The Fike Call-points are a bit the same

I can only imagine it was a design fault, as it was not just the ones on this particular site that I have had problems with.

Yes, it does seem to be a bad design. I think Apollo have realised this, as I dont see many of these mcp's around and they changed the design now. The Fike ones are just as bad.

@@thefireguy8564 I still see quite a few of these mcps in places Some of them have been replaced with the newer ones, likely because they wouldnt work
