@@DanielJohnHowTo Now if I can just master on how to actually measure the size I need when the paper is in position to cut...I'm not stupid, but I can't seem to get it...but you helped a lot...thanks again...and if you know how to get the paper to measure out right...a vid on that would be brilliant...

@@DanielJohnHowTo no just regular 8x11... just trying to get small cuts like 10mm .. and to get consistent 10mm cuts or small cuts like that..

I have managed to solve the problem by unscrewing the screw that holds the extension to move

I have just bought one of these cutters and am having trouble opening the extension bar. There is a little piece of plastic which seems to be holding the in place. Would it be stopping the bar from opening or do I need to pull really hard so the bar pushes passed it? It cuts beautifully.

I had the same problem. After I loosened the screw I made sure to NOT close the bottom all the way in case it gets stuck again. Thanks for your help.

I also could not get the "clear bar" to extend until I loosened the screw with a philips screwdriver. I then tightened it but not with much force. Seems okay now.
