Magnificent! I have her as Eboli from the live La Scala recording from the year earlier (1968) with Bruno Prevedi. Rita Orlandi-Malaspina, Nicolai Ghiaurov, PIero Cappuccilli and Marti Talvela. Truly outstanding cast! Especially Prevedi, Orlandi-Malaspina and Cossotto!

my favourite Eboli, period. The veil song is a very tough scene and almost needs a different voice to o don fatale. Fiorenza however masters both superbly.

she is so awesome! she is equally great to listen to as she is to watch.

That's a pretty normative sound for an Italian or Spanish mezzo of a certain period.

Never liked her timbre but this role suits her since she’s got the coloratura and fluid singing for this aria as well as chest register and top notes for her second aria.

vocally perfect, interpretation ... not so perfect, especially on stage.
