Wonderful! I am the American son of Finnish immigrant parents. My mother was a Karelian refugee and my father was a soldier in the Finnish Army during World War II. My parents are gone from this world now and they are buried side-by-side here in America. Every time that I hear this beautiful hymn my eyes fill with tears.

Yes im a finn myself my great grandfather served in the winter war and the contiunal war and the lapland war and he survived them all he never talked about the war only thing i know that the was protecting kannas its in karelia/karjala and he fought in syväri nothing else is known about his serving in the war and im really proud to be finnish and living on this beateful farm without any war raging outside and im grateful that finland is still independed and you should come to finland sometime and visit the country and know where you came from dont visot just cities but also the farm aread

It astonishes me when people keep walking by. Talk about missing what is beautiful and important in life.

One of the most beautiful hymns written by any Nordic composer! I have seen the translation of the Finnish text, and it is patriotism at its most beautiful, low-key level! It's really hard to keeps the tears away when listening to this! Cheers from your brother and sister folks in Sweden!

I don't know a word of Finnish other than "Suomi", but in any form, "Finlandia" always gets to me. Brilliant composition, beautifully performed.

When the song started, I was silent. When the song got to th middle, tears welled up in the corners of my eye. By the end of the song my whole face wa wet and I was sobbing. Mutta! Where are the damned diacritical marks when you need them. Kiitos.

What I like most about this is that they show the people who don't care, the people who might care but just really need to mind their own business, and the individual voices that make the choir. Amazing! Thank you.

Oli kyllä karmeaa kuultavaa: ei oikeastaan yhtä ainoaa (Ainolaa) puhdasta sointua, väliäänet dominoi, aivan outo ja huono sovitus jossa matala altto osittain tuplaa melodiaa josta sitten erkaneekin. Kenen 'sovitus'? Ja noin välinpitämättömästi laulettuna ei kannata esittää julkisesti noin hienoa hymniä. Ja: mistä keksitte muuttaa sanan 'sa' muotoon 'sä'?
