Finn was draggered for 900 years, it's very normal for ANYONE to be a little cranky if you lose 900 years of your life while your siblings had fun

True. Honestly Finn had justifiable actions just for that but the only thing I can't forgive is him trying to kill Hope because that crossed the line. However all else was understandable and he was willing to forgive and ally with them in S3 if Elijah, Klaus and Kol had just been willing to welcome him back.

Agreed. I dispise him as a character, but I can understand how he felt. While all say they were forced upon (by their parents) to be a predator, only Finn was willing to correct that mistake. The only thing I didn't like about him is that he was finally a witch again, but had to go against his family once again.

I agree he should’ve been daggered given his obvious hate of vampirism, he does however have the right to be pissed at his family for leaving him like that 4 900years, especially given the fact that he regained lucidity a few centuries into his imprisonment. His behaviour in the Originals is completely repugnant however given his unrepentant attitude towards KILLING HIS NEWBORN NIECE! For that he can rot in the foulest parts of hell along with his parents

He even said that because he had been daggered for so long, he had regained conscious unlike the others who were daggered for a short time in comparison. It's fair to assume he had actually been wide awake for centuries, just paralyzed. All because they found him boring. He wasn't a threat back then. They made him one, by basically torturing him because they disliked his personality. He didn't deserve it, and he probably wouldn't have tried to kill them without the box. He wasn't the one who gave away their secret to the Hunters, that was Rebekah. He was just falling in love with Sage, another person they disliked. They should have undaggered him immediately and let him run off with Sage. They would have been rid of him that way too, without making him an enemy.

I do feel sorry for Finn being locked in a coffin for 900 years, but it’s my understanding that everything his siblings released him from instead of leaving them forever, live that life and let the sun kill hum when he wanted to Finn would attempt to murder them and every vampire. i think klaus was actually on the phone with vincent for that scene! vincent is the witch whose body finn inhabits when he gets resurrected by esther, so its easy to get them confused!

@@tbakhalid4781 Yes it is. Perhaps it's about emotional involvement? With Klaus there are bad moments and good moments, a lot and very emotional, but with Finn... nothing. I don’t remember exactly, but it seems that even in the memories of human life it was almost absent. Just like Kol. Well, Kol is closer to Klaus. At least once, one of the siblings might have draw a dagger, if only to piss off Klaus or something. But apparently for them it was not worth it. I still think it's a bad script. Stupid reason not to release it just because it's too... boring? According to the official version. He didn't want to contact Michael, did he? There must be something else. Or a bunch of little things that accumulated and at that moment they all did not want to take out the dagger, wanting to postpone the problems with Finn. And then, every time they thought about releasing him, something happened and everything was delayed until there was a moment when he lay too long and they were too ashamed to let him go? Haha, I'm just imagining.

Agreed. I hate his actions but I get where Finn was coming from. I mean, it is understandable that he had a distain for his nature since he loved being a witch (which is normal since we have seen with Bonnie her mom, that she also hated it since a connection with the nature was cut off). Above all, he didn't have much time adjusting, since they kept him so long in a box. It is quite logical that you wake up after 900 years and starts to loath his siblings for their actions. If they had him undaggered and let him show the positive and beautiful things he could have done as a vampire, then he wouldn't have turned this way.

And he tried kill them all, along with his mother on TVD. Do we actually know why Finn was daggered in the first place? Cuz we know why Kol was because he was drawing to much attention to them with his killing sprees.

@@shudumutepe4768 he was daggered for 9 centuries straight he wasn’t set free until he showed up on the Vampire Diaries. Them trying to backpedal and say they let him out occasionally only to put him back to sleep is nothing more then an inconsistency in the writing.

@@thomasraines1396 Right and its not until literally Finn's final death episode they say anything about the idea they freed him repeatedly, presumably because the writers know the fans identify with the Originals and want to excuse everything they do and since we just found out that over the course of centuries Finn had regained consciousness but not control of his body and so was actively undergoing torture they threw that line in. Of course if we want to sort of invent continuity here we could say that Elijah was once again just being an insane, delusional person whose memories are super unreliable.

I like Kol because he was actually smart , unfortunately like Kol he gets shat on by the characters constantly.

Finn never got the support he needed from his family...his mother used him and he thought she was helping him so he sided with her otherwise he would have stuck with the siblings if they gave a damn care but they didn't, so no finn is like the way he is thanks to the siblings.

Given he tried to destroy his siblings more than once, I get why they treated him like that. Guess being dagger for 900 years can do that. It would have been interesting to see his initial daggering and why. I somehow doubt it was just for him being boring. I have always felt It was a bit of a missed opportunity during the Dahlia arc not having the whole Mikaelson family fighting together as one at least once.

The Brotherhood of the five daggered the siblings Klaus was immune because he was a hybrid Klaus then undaggered all his siblings except Finn because he was boring he kept Finn in the box for 900 years straight Elijah Kol and Rebekka were daggered several times on and of but were always undaggered after about 100 years because Klaus enjoyed them

@@larryforgy1702 My suspicion is that one of the Five told Klaus that Finn had betrayed the identity of the Originals to him in what would have been his first attempt to end their vampiric depradations (and really his first opportunity, since a) he hated Mikael as much as any of them and wouldn't have let them be killed by him, and b) if he knew that white oak stakes only work once he would know that it wouldn't end their threat), and perhaps Klaus even undaggered Finn and questioned him and redaggered him as a threat of the family once it was verified as true. Doesn't actually matter tho as Finn is completely right the entire Original family are monsters who deserved death and if they had a shred of decency they would have found a way to kill themselves.

Well, I don't expect them to ever like Finn as he has shown several times he is against whatever they want to do. And he does agree with Esther for correcting the problem she created of them being vampires. Heck, I would be surprised that maybe some of the times Michael and Esther caught up to them it wasn't thanks to Finn since he agreed with them being destroyed. I find it odd though that Finn stuck more to Esther maybe he is a mama's boy or Michael was just so unpleasant that he wasn't close with him and viewed Finn as equally to be an abomination as the rest so they weren't close. They should have gone more into his story. I don't think Esther and Michael were wrong for seeing the carnage started by their children but they were too dysfunctional when they were humans to know how to handle it better.
